EPS 60Amp fuse keeps blowing
Hi guys,
I have experienced the 60amp fuse blowing up probably like 12 times in the last month and I would not have power to anything in the car. Once I change the fuse, everything goes back to normal. I have checked the grounds and everything but cant find anything wrong. Last week, I unplugged the power steering motor electrical plug from the motor, and waited a day before plugging. Once plugged it, I haven't experience the issue again until today. Put a new 60amp fuse and all is good again.
Do you guys think I need to change the power steering motor, since my car has 212,000 miles on it?
Thanks

Sounds like it is definitely on it's way out, so yeah, get it changed.
The power steering motor is covered under an extended warranty, so contact your dealer and set up an appointment for getting it swapped out.
Note: do not mention the word RECALL - as it is NOT a recall!!! Too many people cannot seem to see the difference, and the dealer will rightfully deny that there is a PS recall.
You might be able to test it out, by starting the engine, and with the vehicle stopped, turn the wheel back and forth a few times to see if it pops the fuse as the motor warms up.
