Were you using my hours for an estimate? That was for R&R only not including transferring parts and computer setup.
$50/hr is a good rate, but I will bet it takes a few weeks. At that rate he will want to be doing 3-5 jibs at the same time, that's what flat rate is all about. My guy took 3 days.
Does he have the equipment and training to at least learn the crankshaft sensor? That's the minimum computer work needed.
