Flat rate

You guys know what the Flat Rate time is on swapping a 2.2 in an 08 HHR?

Found a licensed mechanic for $50/hr. 9x50= $450. Plus incidentals. Oil and such.

Were you using my hours for an estimate? That was for R&R only not including transferring parts and computer setup.

$50/hr is a good rate, but I will bet it takes a few weeks. At that rate he will want to be doing 3-5 jibs at the same time, that's what flat rate is all about. My guy took 3 days.

Does he have the equipment and training to at least learn the crankshaft sensor? That's the minimum computer work needed.

Yes, your hours.

He's on a truck right now. Mines next and another truck next week.
I have till University starts in September for my wife to get it done.

He's done these before. Gm mechanic over 30yrs. I'll let him deal with it.
