Talking Engine timing chain kit

I finally started a new thread (as previously suggested) in my last one I got some very helpful info, so once again I thank you all we are in the process of getting the timing chain replaced, I was given an ebay linked to the specific part needed and found out that the part is shipped from a location down the street from where I am at soooo I will be there Monday morning to purchase it and save me some waiting time (they're closed on the weekends) my question is, how important is is to also change the water pump, only reason I ask is they offer 2 different kits, one with water pump and one with out .. just curious

Id say just go ahead and do it and save yourself the trouble since everything will be apart already. It might need changing eventually

x2 - yup while you are in there, you might as well replace the water pump.

X3; especially if this is the full timing set including the balance shaft chain. Usually the pump is only $20-$30 more

Fix went smooth and since the part was ordered online overall it wasn't expensive to get it done but they found an oil leak, which I already knew it had and failed to mention ... mechanic said it was a quick fix but I figured since the hubby replaced the camshaft sensor, he can do this right?!! With the help of you all of course and save me some $$ here's what needs replacing: oil cooler block gasket

Any help, guidance, tips, do it yourself videos are greatly appreciated

Check out this thread, especially the post from Lucky - he provided a diagram of the oil cooler of an '06 like yours. That should be about all he needs I hope. :)
