Does anybody have the gm accessory performance air intake from gm? Also does this boost your horsepower at all?

I gained a small amount according to a dyno, mostly at the lower end; 2-3hp.

I also gained the exact same as GDZHHR described. Mine was one of the test vehicles for this GMPP intake system, before introduction. My dyno test were done numerous times, over a 4 month period, and ALL revealed the same results. So, it may look good and sound o'k, but anyone that tells you they can feel a 3 HP change in an engine is FOS, IMO.

Do a search on this forum and you will find a number of threads related to the GMPP intake. They will provide additional info.

GMPP Intake

Please see my posting below. My seemed to respond well to it....from a rubber laying, unscientific test. :-) Sounds great. I thought it was too loud the first night when I got it, but now I love it. Easier to change your filter for sure! The engine has to breath much better than stock. I might pull mine off and see about adding some heat insulation to the underside and see if that will keep the charge even cooler. Make sure and buy some 6mm hex bolts for the lid, as the factory Phillips one is hard to tighten at back right. Overall a high quality piece of work. God Bless, Marc

In case anyone wants to see what this thing looks like installed, please drop me a message with your e-mail. I took some photos this morning. If anyone wants to post photos for me, that would be nice. Many thanks, Marc

Here are some pics of the GMPP from when I installed mine a couple months ago. I have a 2006 2LT.

Now all I need/want is a smooth-bore, 4-ply silicone hose from the intake to the box :)

I think I paid $362.00 for mine. I think it is well worth it. Here is what my installation looks like:

Just put them up on photobucket Marc. That's the best way to show photos on forums.
