Black head lights/ tail lights

What is the easiest and most legal way of blacking out your lights? Ive heard about the nightshades paint but im not sure if that works. Just trying to get some ideas. Thanks

For the legal side, check state laws as most don't allow tinting of head/tailights.

I used precut R-Vinyl tint (found on E-bay). Not too difficult to install and looks killer (IMO).
But....it blocks out a LOT of the light. Thank goodness for fogs.

R-Vinyl is pretty good. I had dark tint before and loved it. now I have blue.(still unsure if I like it).
Easy to remove when you get busted for it too.

The most legal way for taillights is to pick up the IPCW LED Bermuda Blacks that are SAE/DOT compliant in all 50 states. As for doing it yourself with spray or tint it depends on your state's laws. For example, Michigan requires a tail lamp to emit a red light plainly visible for at least 500 feet to the rear of the vehicle. Michigan also requires stop lamps to emit a red or amber light that is capable of being seen and distinguished from other lamps for a distance of 100 feet.
