i also immediately installed same flaps while our hhr was at rustproofing- front are most important, not the rear.
Since HHR is FWD, the rear wheel fender gets plenty of gravel and sand, thats why they installed sticker covers on it.
i would stronly advice front flaps to anyone that has to drive at all on gravel roads.
