Hey all, sorry if this has been covered but I didn't see anything in the first 2 pages.

I have an 07 hhr lt and I'm not digging the window switches in the bottom of the center console. I drive for uber at night and no one can ever find the window buttons lol I've seen newer hhr's have the window switches on the front door panels, is there a write up anywhere that I can follow to swap in new door panels and switch the wireing? I'm not great with wireing (partially color blind) but if make it a project for my buddy to help me with one weekend.

Has anyone here done it? Is it as simple as extending the wires to the doors? Any help would be great :-)

Welcome to the site, moving the switches would be a matter of getting an 09 drivers door and extending the wire harness , or custom switches and harness extension. I recall people asking about but don't recall seeing it actually done!

I think everyone that investigated it decided it was too much.

IIRC, the door panels mount differently, meaning that the complete doors would need to be changed.

You could have your friend look at the existing wires and record the colors. The wiring is entirely different between 2007 and 2009 models.
