That's the place I got my "Drumming" business cards made. Vistaprint does a darn fine job for not a lot of $$$! :thumb:

However I paid a little extra for the gloss mat & heavier paper, but either way, they work great. :thumb:

BTW, JonyyB... Did you have a background (graphic) in mind or just a solid color?

That's cool JD - I don't make any $$$ doing it! Just trying to help the site grow! If you look in your profile there is a "referrral link" - paste this in a hyperlink anywhere (email sigs, on your drumming website, wherever), and when people "click through" you get credited with the referral. It's that easy! :thumb:

CJ meant that the free cards offered on vistaprint are only for their standard templates. They would probably charge a bundle if you wanted to send your own file. I make my own cards all the time (having worked in publishing).

And I think your design looks great! Also checked out your sig samples - very tight!

i am in the process of thinking of a name for my custom mod shop in this area that i am going to start in the next 1 to 2 years, doing paint, HP, audio installs and exhausts.

cant wait to get this going. will be my end of life dream come true to own and manage it and help make their car ideas a reality.

They will but then you have to pay.

You can't even change the font and you only have about 10 options for backgrounds.

what they call "slow shipping" runs $6.

They've gone up on shipping since I last used them, but then again, that was about 6 years ago. lol I guess everything has gone up these days.

all of the card ideas are good. the more effort in the card the more results.
i think that they all should have an HHR on them somewhere. it would create some instant recognition when first glanced at. i just wish i knew more about this paintshop thing,??? keep talkin, so great ideas out there can be shared.:one:

Why not take your own pic and u/l it to Vistaprint as a background or add-in pic and design your card from there. I think you can still do this as the last time I used them I could, not sure if I got charged for it or not but it is worth a try ..

You can use any background that you want. You can completely design your own card and they'll do a great job printing it. I use them for my company.

All of these options are charged for though. What we've been discussing is they have a few templates that you can use for free with limited editing options and you just have to pay for shipping.

They're not too bad. I got a set to hand out to other HHR owners I run into.

I printed my own using My Business Cards. I've seen several HHR's here in San Diego, but not many on members listed here... plan on passing them out whenever is see one in a parking lot.

This is probably going to sound really goofy (but, that's me all over!) but I created a "business card" on glossy business card stock that features our "Red Devil" HHR, my husband and me, our address, phone and email so that when we meet other HHR'ers we can give you our card and you'll have all our info in case you'd ever want to get in touch with us. (Not sure anyone would really WANT to get in touch with us on purpose after meeting us.....you never know!) Haha!

What do you think? Goofy or good idea????

OK well i just thought this would be a good idea, Well this weekend i was driving around the mall and i saw 4 HHR's in the parking lot so i left them a not on there car telling them about the website...I haven't heard anything from them, but i think it would be a good idea if somebody could make like little buisiness cards and have them avalible on the site that we could print out and keep in the car and if your just driving around like at the mall and you see an HHR just stick one on there...I just think it bring alot more people to the site...

When I print mine out I do it in grayscale so it's only in black ink. We've handed out a few, but haven't seen any action. Guess the people we've been giving them to aren't computer literate or something. :lol:

HP has software on their website that you can use for business cards, flyers, signs, etc. I believe the software is dedicated to their equipment, however. This is the one I use for my "Business" cards, etc.

I saw a new HHR at a local Walgreen's a few weeks ago and left a note on the windshield telling them about the Forum. But I haven't noticed anyone new signing on from this area. I guess some people just aren't interested in such stuff. I think the owner of this car is a Manager at that Walgreens 'cause the HHR is there a lot.

I`ve passed out/or left on windshield, Approx 10-12 fliers. Only person to reply was the Z-Man, and he is an active club member. ( almost too active sometimes ). It appears that most HHR owner/drivers, just don`t want to get involved in any organization, of course we do have problems with "Yute " Clubs here in Chi-Town (Monte Carlo, Impala, Etc.)

These business cards are great! I printed some off today at work on the color printer. I met a member at my job today in Naperville, 'Orange1'...I offered him a business card and discovered that he is already a member on here, he just doesn't do any posting. He is a great guy, hopefully he will come around and start posting on here! I am going to start stickin' these things on all the HHRs I see in various parking lots in my area!:nuts:

I used VistaPrint also.
The free alternative is use JonyyB's template. If using heavy stock paper, one can print and hand cut if you don't have the perforated card stock paper.

I just bought a bunch of cards from Office Depot... 250 cards delivered, for $1.06 (including tax and delivery).

Can't beat the price.

At that price you can even make up some "www.chevyhhr.net" cards to spread the word to other HHR owners. Stick them on their windshield if you see another HHR in a parking lot.

Okay we have all talked about how to help promote this site in our areas. Now lets share what some of us have created to do this, and give others some ideas also. I used a couple ideas I've seen on here, so if it sounds fimiliar - Thank You for your ideas. I have been wanting to make a card for some time now and finally got it done. I did it myself so it's not a professional job, but I think it'll do the trick placed gently between the drivers door glass and seal above the door handle.

I know I've seen one theard on this but could not find it again. Maybe if this gets replies, they could be bundled together as one thread with all the members ideas on it. I'm sorry about the huge pic of the text, I'm not sure why it would not allow me to shrink it. I now use one of my business cards for The HHR Store. On the back of it I put the web address for here and for our local club. I put the links side facing out so they don't think I'm trying to sell them something before they see the clubs info.

I've gotten a couple calls with questions but so far none have signed up here. At least they didn't use me as a referral.

I was able to hand out my first card today. I was at back to scool night at my kids school and there was an orage one with what looked like vinyl flames all over the sides and some decals on the rear windows, so I walked up and slipped the card into the drivers side window and now we will wait and see.
YHEA< MY FIRST ONE, last time I talked to a guy about it but didn't have my cards made yet.

Here are my two card designs the first is for black and imperial blue(dark blue) and second is for others, pic was taken at the Cedar Point meet:thumb: has only gotten 1 referral out of about 15 passed out. The cards were a gift so do not know the cost but I have 250 cards total:nuts:
