Was just at the dealer yesterday, and asked. Was told by a salesman that they would not expect to see any SS until next summer.

Probably due to the fact that they still have about 20 '07s on the lot and haven't even gotten their first '08 yet.

I believe that is what they told you, but I highly doubt it will take that long. The HHR SS is supposed to be on sale by at least December ("late fall"). If Chevrolet waited that long, it might as well be a 2009 car, which we really have not heard anything about. My local dealership has mostly 2008's at this time.

There's only one dealer here with HHRs, one a 2lt (looked like it) and a silver panel.. They've been on that lot for a while now..

I'll be lucky if I ever see an SS in person.. :roll:

The local dealer in Richmond, Ca has 08s on the lot but when I asked him about the SS all I got was "What's an SS?"

That's about what I got from my local Chevy salesman. At least he knew there was going to be an HHR SS, but that's only b/c I told him a couple of months ago. He still thought the engine was going to be the same 205HP supercharged from the Cobalt SS.

Yes, The SS may be due out by turn of the year, but as I said in my post......Kendall Chevrolet (my dealer) would not see any before spring of next year. They currently still have 20+ 2007 models on lot that they have to move before they even receive any 08s.:eek:

Anyone still looking for a new Golden Teal HHR? They have several.:D
