Just trying to see what interest we can generate for a run to Solvang (near Central Cal), on the Cinco de Mayo weekend?

I think that would be a pretty good time. Lets here what central & Nor Cal thinks. I emaile Modesto Club this evening to link them to this site. Several in that Club I think.

I did Hwy 1 a week oe so ago. Aewsome, beautiful.

I hope to do a repeat for the Cinco Solvang Run!

Los Rancheros Visitadores-- Said to be the largest riding group of its kind in the world. The Rancheros stop at the Old Mission Santa Ines for the blessing of their horses by the padres. Hundreds of riders make the annual pilgrimage.

Hey - wanted to give some updates, been trying to contact HHR clubs like the one in Elk Grove and Modesto. I don't know the people, but am hoping to get a response.

It is probably best to make your own personal reservations for hotel as they are asking me to set a guarantee with my credit card.

I was looking at hotels in Buellton last night and found that there is a Motel 6 there that is around $70 a night. That is a lot cheaper than any of the Solvang hotels. I know it is still a Motel 6, but you always know what to expect there.

Craig, unfortunately we have some people who want to "crash" our little shindig and come without paying. For that reason I (like many other events today), will only send the event schedule out to registered entrants. Face it, this run is already costing me more than I could ever make back on it, and all I'm trying to do is break even on the T-shirt order (which we won't), so I need every possible entry. Showing up to hang without paying is just not cool.

If we are going to make this an annual event, we will have to have the support of HHR owners throughout the state.

Let's hope for the best!

This Friday, early in the morning, a launch will occur in Sacramento, CA as my Flamed HHR lifts off headed towards Solvang!!!:steering:

I'll head to Monterey and cruise the Hwy 1 and travel along the coast.

Don't be frightened in the afternoon when sonic booms are heard. It's just my space shuttle and others re-entering the atmosphere at Solvang.:D

These guys and gals had great HHR's and great mods. I must admit it was good to get together with others who share an interest in a great vehicle.

Is there more than one Mike? How in the heck do you do your day job, SoCalHHR's, MOD'n your HHR and maintain the family life? There has to be more than one of you, there just arent enough hours in the day to do all that!

Okay, I got it today. It is done. Installed in 15 minutes total. Including getting out the tools and putting them away. I probably could have installed it faster if I had jacked it up..... But I was too excited and just crawled under there and installed it.

Good for you HHR DLYT--------Wow another person (that makes two) got their sway bar before me.... sounds like I was mis-led again about my situation.....

You know Henry, I do live a LOT closer to Progressive than you do. I am sure ours got shipped at the same time. Mine just arrived before yours. I don't think that you were misled.

That makes ONE. One had to be installed on my car to shoot pictures for the how-to, and for us to be able to answer questions from customers about the bar and it's operation. No good businessman would send out a brand new product for a first-year vehicle without first seeing if it actually FITS the vehicle properly as advertised.

The last thing I need Henry, is you getting your "first" sway bar only to report on the forum how it doesn't fit the car right and was hard to install.

Instead, I get to take the heat for not shipping you "the very first one."

(Yours was however, shipped out as the first bar "for sale.")

There were conditions that were suppose to be met and there weren't end of story.. and own up to it.. and move on...

I ordered mine over the weekend sent Monday 5/15 received today 5/16. Great work Mike in getting orders shipped.
