Too far in the country for anything else. Nothing else is offered here. Now I do fast internet on the road, am there more than here. JoeR 04-10-2006, 01:46 PM JonnyB, I've experienced slow response at times lately. I've got a rock solid cable service at 15/2 Mbps dn/up. In running Ping Plotter a few times when I saw the lag, I saw no problems. Ping times were good and no packet loss. Other sites responded fine. One night I was on the phone with another forum member and he commented that he was experiencing the same occasionally. There appears to be a problem. BTW, great site!!! Joe JonyyB 04-10-2006, 02:16 PM Thank you, I will look into it :) Airborne_Beachbum 04-10-2006, 02:55 PM No problems here, have Road Runner hard-wired into my desktop and wireless to my laptop. Nothing else is offered here. Now I do fast internet on the road, am there more than here. i dont know what cell phone company you are with, but i know sprint offers a wireless internet access, it might be a better choice than dialup. You cant even get satelite high speed? cowboybornlate 04-10-2006, 03:36 PM Digital cable at home with wireless router, Aircard by Sprint when away from home. Lightening fast both places for me.... CBL jx3 04-10-2006, 04:42 PM No problems for me. I use DSL fast access by Bell South. Same here, haven't noticed anything wrong either. TomsHHR 04-10-2006, 05:54 PM My problem is I sometimes spend more time on the roas than at home. as in 2 of the last 3 months. I cannot justify 600.00 a year and not be home every day to use it. Firewatcher 04-10-2006, 06:46 PM I've got a big black wire that goes into the small putty colored box, then a big grey wire that goes to a silver box, then another big black wire that goes into the big grey box. Never have had a problem with loading time or anything. And my TV reception is flawless. (Charter went all digital late last year) Must be those Ohio/Virginia sun spots I have read so much about that may be causing your problems. ;) Pizzaman 04-11-2006, 06:57 PM I can teel that there is a lag time every once in a while, but not always. jb captain howdy 04-11-2006, 08:55 PM Yeah I have got a weird lag a few times lately. I know it's not my connection because any other site works fine. I'll hit the post button and it will linger for a couple of minutes.
