I saw the Mini Clubman was finally launched at the LA Auto Show last week.

Any thoughts on a comparison? Looks pretty nice to me. Still too small though.
Markiemark 11-26-2007, 04:18 PM Interesting, NOT that much bigger, better I guess!
Someone here will like the Barn-Doors!!
Similar to the Scion Xb,
Ford's new Flex,
etc........
Boxey, cross-over vehicles, smaller SUV like, storage space, on a car chassis, offerring better MPG!

quest51210 11-26-2007, 04:27 PM pretty awesome...i really like their take on the rear doors. the way they designed it offers more space than the conventional door design on another model. maximizing space is a big deal and they are trying.
i like it
Goose 11-26-2007, 04:41 PM Always liked Mini's...might be my next set of wheels! Not sure on this style , have to see it in person but it looks pretty cool

1BadPig 11-26-2007, 05:48 PM The only thing about the Mini Clubman I don't like is its price tag.
Daverb 11-27-2007, 12:51 AM I do like the rear barn doors, and the rear passanger doors
quest51210 11-27-2007, 01:10 AM like i said....two words

:thumb: You're right! I'm glad a company like bmw has the balls to do rear cargo doors like that, even though they aren't practical like a hatch! You can't even get them on a suburban anymore! They will sell more of these to the traditionalists because of it, too. Now, if someone would just do them on an HHR...
HHorange 04-21-2008, 07:11 PM I like the the whole Mini line..............Hate the price range.
tireman1554 04-21-2008, 08:09 PM No reason why Chevy cant make the HHR with those barn doors. I think they would be quite useful on the panel version. No Mini for me thanks.
hunter 04-21-2008, 09:27 PM Price range is equal to sticker price of an ss or a 2lt hhr...
after the 2lt hhr I have I would love to get one of these... or a smart car. one or the other.
Yonash 04-22-2008, 12:16 AM these things are actually really cool. saw it when i went to the LA Auto Show, and i checked it out thoroughly. about the price comment though, for what they are, yeah they're expensive. but it's a BMW product. what BMW isn't expensive for what it is? as far as comparing the price to the HHR though, not a good comparison, given the significant power difference, and very similar gas mileage. my SS has almost 100hp more than the Clubman S, and they cost almost the same.
i agree though, the HHR needs barn doors lol
dpoll995 04-27-2008, 12:44 AM i wished i could open the glass on my rear hatch instead of the whole door.
I wouldnt mind those but what I would love to have, if Ford would every decide to come out with, is the Bronco, would trade the Chevy the day it comes out since im a big Ford guy.
