Also...As an extra bonus... there will be NO admission charge to meet Capt. Howdy! :D :D
SoCalHHR 03-22-2006, 08:13 PM No - no - you need to move this to the Regional US area.
Otherwise everyone will want to start posting about their g2g's here and it will become a mess!
captain howdy 03-22-2006, 08:49 PM I agree with SoCal about moving it. ;) We can post in a couple of regions if we have to. :) Fenris wanted to come also.

I agree too... I guess we'll have to wait until SIHHR comes back later tonight ;) since I think only Moderators can move threads? (or JonyyB)
ng8650 03-22-2006, 10:06 PM I had a thread asking what everyone thought was the best way to clean leathers seats moved from general to...appearance modifications? WTF

I guess if your leather is really dirty and you clean it you could consider it an appearance modification.

cvrogershhr 04-01-2006, 03:00 AM Hi:
Sounds good, I'd like to attend, but not sure when be good date. I am in West Virginia, and could be able to attend if work schedule allows. Used to belong to the Monte Carlo Club, we had a lot of fun at their events..... Looking forward to it. Some ideas?. How about Hershey or Gettysburg? Both are large resorts with plenty of things to do for the guests, could make a nice weekend of it

Mine 06 Dark Grey 2LT
Hers 03 Impala
The daughter's 96 Monte Carlo
Traded 99 Astro
SIHHR 04-01-2006, 11:09 AM I like the Hershey idea. But i'm not sure about the people from Ohio. How long would it take them
captain howdy 04-01-2006, 11:18 AM I'm sure all of the chocolate would make up for the drive. :D
PA_HHR 04-01-2006, 06:22 PM I am about 20 minutes from hershey and there are more than enough bars to fill a weekend with  plus there is hershey park :D I think hershey would make an awesome place for a meet :one:
Jddrumman 04-01-2006, 06:59 PM Hershey is cool w/me :thumb: ... Gettysburg is also a cool idea too. :thumb: (I haven't been there in years) :D
captain howdy 04-14-2006, 05:53 PM Is anyone still interested.
SIHHR 04-14-2006, 06:02 PM I am
captain howdy 04-14-2006, 06:08 PM Me too. We have to figure out a good spot. It would be nice to have all that want to follow through on this meet ups opinion of where we should meet. I am open to pretty much anywhere in PA, Northern Ohio, South NY, I don't really care as long as it's not too far like Florida.
LMAO!!!... :D
I apoligize in advance for my selfish post padding response... :D
On my post padding kick..........
I don't really care as long as it's not too far like Florida.
What's wrong w/ Florida? :p: Or don't "snowbirds" fly south for the Spring?
captain howdy 04-14-2006, 08:13 PM Nothing is wrong with Florida. Believe me I would love to come to a Florida get together. It was the first far away from NY place I could think of. ;) You should feel honored. The first state that popped into my mind after NY was Florida just like many of our senior citizens. :rof:
SIHHR 04-14-2006, 09:04 PM Captain. It all depends on where you are in Florida. Trust me based on experience from working down there. I've seen so many hot girls down there. It is not even funny. I've been down to South Florida within a timespan of 15 months a bunch of times due to work and I have spent almost 2 months in total trips down there. Its not as bad as you think.
captain howdy 04-14-2006, 09:10 PM I know it's not, I have been to Florida before. ;) I'm just making fun of how like half our senior population floods Florida in the winter months. Just a joke my friend. My wife is constantly trying to get me to move to Florida (her dad lives there) but I won't leave our state ever. :one: Unless maybe I move to California some day. I seem like a Californian right? :rof:
SIHHR 04-14-2006, 09:30 PM Yep the snowbirds come in.
PA_HHR 04-18-2006, 05:35 PM when??? where??? :thumb:
SIHHR 04-18-2006, 05:58 PM We are still planning an event out
Lee3333 04-23-2006, 03:14 PM Count me in as long as it is not too far from the Tristate area (family obligations). Still looking to see if anyone wants to time their car at Englishtown with me???
SIHHR 04-23-2006, 03:59 PM I was thinking about doing it. But my car is still 100% stock
Lee3333 04-23-2006, 07:54 PM My car is stock, too. That is why I want to go-to get a baseline result. Then, anything you do can be compared to the results. It really is not bad for the car-just like getting on the highway. Plus, they have a scale so you can get your actual weight. I am very anxious to get the muffler, but first want to get the numbers so I can see how much it actually helps. In fact, I think I will probably have a y pipe installed to make an exhaust cutout, just for fun. Then I will be able to see for sure if open exhaust makes the car slower (too little back pressure). The way I design it, I can also alter the flow by using a plate with holes in it to close the cutout, so I can see just how much back pressure is optimum.
I also plan on hooking up my G-Tech when I run, so I can check it's accuracy. They are open Wed nights for time trials, and only about an hour away from us. (I have raced my Mazda 323 and Saturn SL2 just for laughs.) And with bracket racing, you can win by just guessing what your ET will be, not by having the quickest car.
scaleguy 04-23-2006, 08:21 PM I might swing a run to PA, but I would also be open to helping a small group put a midwestern run together...Thoughts anyone?
ludicristSS 05-04-2006, 05:13 PM If you guys want I will come to the meet and offer a group buy on ECM/TCM tunes. Say $100 off ea for 5 or more. Plus I gota get some idea's for my HHR .
BTW retail is $495.
Thanks
Matt

Redline Diner @ 911 Edgell Rd in Framingham on Saturdays has already started.
There was a pretty good turnout this Saturday.
There's a huge parking lot across Water street from the show that spectators use so we could line up there after 3.
I grew up in Natick so I know every worthwhile cruising/scenic road in the area.
It would be a blast if we get a group that would like to start early with a caravan cruise and drive in together.
I go to as many car shows as possible during the summer.
At least 1 during the week and usually 1 or 2 on the weekends.
I'm up for some windy, twisty SAFE (nothing nutty) driving to/from shows/cruises.
I'd also like to schedule some central New England G2Gs.
PM me if you're interested in any or all the above.
snjgene 04-26-2010, 07:49 PM I would come
asanti 04-27-2010, 02:24 PM Same here, coming from another car forum where we hold G2G's several times a year, I'm always open to drive and meet fellow enthusiasts. Heck, I've driven 3 1/2-4 hrs to go to a meet! I'll be at Englishtown this weekend (5/1-5/2) to see what the SS can do in the 1/4 mi. :D I put a post up about a huge cruise going down 5/16 in NH too BTW.

jimpennjr 04-27-2010, 08:48 PM Asanti, I'm in Ridgefield, just south of Danbury, do you go to Marcus Dairy on Saturday evenings. Haven't been in a while, but now with my new to me 09 Victory Red HHR LT, I would like to show off my car even though it's bone stock.

Actually I've never been there, more info please? I usually head over to the Berlin Tpke. some/most Saturday nights in the summer. There's a BK where lots of muscle cars meet up, then there's the import crowd in the Bob's parking lot next door. PM me if you head to either place, with the exception of this weekend I wouldn't mind meeting up and heading to either place. And there's nothing wrong w/ a bone stock LT, just gives you a blank canvas to express yourself on! :one:

Thanks Rodney, it was nice meeting you too! I'm always up for a meet so let me know. I only ran Saturday since I had to return home that night due to a small fam emergency at home (all's ok now though). My best time was 15.30 @ 98.xx. I spun Heavily through 1st and 2nd gear though so I'm sure I'd hit hi/mid 14's with sticky tires. It was fun sitting in the lanes though as lots of guys kept coming up to me asking questions about the SS.
