Hello everyone. I know that none of you over here know me at all, seeing as how I just signed up today lol, but i just wanted to tell you about a huge meet that will be coming up on April 19th. The plans are still being thrown together as we speak, but this will be our 5th gathering in Columbus, and the turnout gets better and better each time!

It is time!!!!..... to start thinking/planning the annual Spring Cobalt meet in Columbus, Ohio. This tradition began on CobaltSS . net on April 22 nd , 2006 with roughly 15 cars and has continued every April and October since. I know not everyone is on .net. I am trying to organize a multi-forum meet this year and will be hosting the main info thread on cobaltss . net and will post a link to the thread ASAP. I am also dedicating an email address; ohio.cobalt.meet@gmail.com to the planning and coordination of this year's event so I can easily keep track of those intending to come. ***PLEASE*** understand that this is the only way I can keep track of everyone on all the forums, only email me once please. Include in the email your name (first name and last initial), location, and car year/model/color. This will help keep a running tally on the forums and with planning caravans and just provide some fun info the types of cars coming. Any make and model is welcome, bring your friends and their rides as well!!!!! Last October's meet had near 50 cars total. Now to the fun stuff



Where: Sharon Woods Park, Columbus, Ohio (will post a map of the area soon)
When: April 19th, 1pm - ?

We'll meet in the park starting at 1pm and hang out as everyone shows up. Later in the day it has been tradition to go to Quaker Steak & Lube for food and drink and if weather permits, go to Magic Mountain for go-karting. Before we go to eat, there is always a huge group photo.

These meets were originally designed for owners of the Cobalt to get together and meet each other, but has since become a meet for ECOtec enthusiasts. Even if your car is not an ECOtec powered vehicle, you can still feel free to come along, last year we had a supercharged Explorer and a few Civic Si's lol. JonyyB was able to make it to the most recent one this past October, and he can vouche for the good time had by all. I can only hope that some of you will make an effort to come out, it promises to be a good time!!

I'm glad that some of you are showing interest. These meets are predominantly filled with Cobalts, so having some HHR's there would be an AWESOME change of pace. Anyone else interested in going?

When cobaltss.net is back up and running I'll try to see if there are any Cobalt's coming from Illinois or maybe Indiana for sure so that you can join a caravan. Usually from Dayton to Columbus we travel in a pack of 10-20 lol. I know that there were a few members talking about coming from Chicago. I'll let you know what I find out. The day before there are going to be some of us getting a hotel room and having a little pre-meet party. Last October it was a blast, so you can feel free to join us there too. Once we get more solid plans, Wicked and myself will do what we can to keep you guys updated too.

This way can get a solid idea of who all is coming, and if there are people coming from a similar locations they can meet up and caravan over.

Just wanted to check in on the thread, glad to see there is some interest. We have well over 25 people registered to come to the meet, and its only Feb. 1st!!

my 1st meet in the HHr.

there is about 10 HHrs here in my town.

only one with anything done to it is a burgandy one with white undercar lights.

I can't wait to see some modded HHRs...

Due to the size of the meet and the fact that it looks as though we may have over 100 cars attending... We have moved to a bigger more accommodating location... The meet will be at Germain Chevrolet in Columbus, which is only 8 miles from the previous location.

The StreetGlow LightStrike LED underbody kit. It looks sweet. Gotta mail defective one back and then they will send new kit back to me. StreetGlow wants to troubleshoot it and figure out what is wrong with it.
