Yeah and 2 are better then none! If anyone is ever interested there's a restaurant here in town called Little Anthony's that has a "oldies car show" with old T buckets and hot rods of all kinds. However they DO let newer cars get in. Lots of local rice boys bring some stuff along with the SoAZ Miata club sometimes. Maybe there are a couple of more shows we could do with the HHR's. I am game for anything in Phoenix area as long as my daughter is up to it!

Hey now Az is not that bad. At least you can drive your HHR all year with no snow and with the windows down.

Thanks! I got the 2LT w/pretty much everything except the sunroof - as I told someone in another forum - in Arizona? Ouch! Especially since I got the leather interior. Anyway, I haven't done much to it - YET. Like most of you all, I am cruising the 'net looking for accessories and stuff. Step number 1 will be to tint the windows (some more); I should do that within a few weeks here, seeing as we're already hitting the 90's. After that, I'll be looking at some type of custom sub enclosure that will be incorporated into the rear storage area - not a sub box, but maybe a 12" or 15" sub that will sit in the "bowl" in the back and not affect the cargo area.

Hi all you "Zonies",

Just noticed this thread .....thought I would let you know ....I'm here. Just received my 2LT 2 weeks ago. So, it's still a factory "virgin" (except for the usual AZ. dark tint). Looking to do a few other "things" to suspension, drivetrain, and appearance in the very near future.

Let's talk when you can !!

PhxHHR
05-10-2006, 02:19 PM
What up, Snoop? What part of AZ are you from? :welcome:

I think one of the coolest thing about the HHR is driving around the PHX area with all four windows rolled down and the stereo cranked - the cab's design minimizes the noise coming in as well as the air - it's cool!

Hey...

I'm in the far East Mesa area....almost to where it says "Phoenix" in white rocks (ya know, on the way to The River).

I'm an "ol' timer" and retired so if you want to make a run or have a chat, let me know. Most of the time I'm available.

Been around cars all my life and retired from the GM Proving Ground here in AZ.

Not sure. I'm going to have to pick one that will be a good match-up and can't be the same as a Charger home game. I heard they sold out the new stadium so I'll probably have to look on ebay and see what's out there.

Hey everyone,

I have been lurking on this site since I purchased my HHR (almost a year now).
I'm in Scottsdale, if anyone has recommendations for shops in the area for performance parts and installations please let me know.

I purchased my HHR from Midway Chevrolet. I believe they carry the air raid CAI, but they will only install the parts they carry (they wont install an IMCO muffler)

Anyways, just a shout out to the rest of the AZ HHR owners here!

Have done a K&N, dvd/monitor headrests for the kids, and lots of future dreaming so far.

BTW, if you didn't know that there is a car show every Saturday evening on 83rd Ave and Beardsley in the Safeway Parking lot. I was there last Sat and many people wanted to check the HHR SS out. Lots of nice cars up there. I also recommend getting there after 6 PM.

DAMN HOT

Thanks for the tip, have to try & make it some time. :thumb:

Just stumbled on this post and figured I would chime in.......I'm Terry from Casa Grande. I have a black 08 that I put a nice audio system in. I put some rally stripes on as well. I want a woody kit but I don't like anything out there right now. Anyway hello everyone and hopefully we can figure out how to have a G2G sometime before it gets too hot ;)

Hello from Mesa. Not an HHR owner quite yet but should be in about a week. Needed something with a tad more utility to keep my 08 Corvette company in the garage and the HHR seems like it might fill the bill nicely. So hopefully if all goes well I'll join your ranks in about a week or so.

Welcome Tivo.....

I also, have a Vette to accompany my HHR in the garage. Well on second thought, that is not technically true. I have 2 garages. The HHR and the wifes Saturn Redline is in one. The Vette has it's own domain (which is currently under construction as the NEW MAN CAVE ).

Hey, you acknowledged "from Mesa" in your intro but your bios say Phoenix ???

Also noticed it looks like 2 eyes looking under the steering wheel of the Vette in your picture. That's kind of funny....LOL....are you possessed?

I'll fix the bio. :)

Never noticed the eyes. Looks pretty funny now that you mention it.

I just picked up mine yesterday morning, and I love this thing! My girlfriend was shocked speechless the first time I gave it a full throttle run up to the top of 3rd gear.

Also, I was a little surprised when I headed up to the Pavilions last night and found a few Cobalt SSs parked amongst the Subarus and Mitsus. But no HHRs. Kinda made me smile to see the head turns I got rolling by there. I think it would be cool if us Arizona owners grabbed our own section up there some Saturday night (we could even let the Cobalt owners join us ).

I bought my car from Sands, they had no used SS HHRs. Funny thing is I ended up going with a new LS, better deal with all the rebates and it had more features because the used one was a rental. Still keeping my eye out for a used SS, I still have my wifes car to trade in then she can take the LS :)

Why not just get that one because a use HHR SS is even rarer or harder to find. IMO :)
