I have an 08 Panel,. I recently bought sensors off ebay to use on some aftermarket wheels. I have not had any success with reprogramming the sensors. After many attempts, the left front tire ( the first to be reprogrammed) will not register. I'm concerned about returning to dealer with the aftermarket wheels & ebay sensors. Will they void my warranty? Will they charge me for an expensive sensor? I basically don't want to get hosed just for a stupid sensor that I can live without. Any opinions?
Is there any way I can skip over the left front to check the other locations?
The aftermarket wheel I bought are similar to a Torq Thrust design. They were specially machined for the bolt pattern. After mounting, I can see that the offset is not right, but close enough for a compromise. The usual Torq thrust design has the spokes mounted about halfway into the wheel, where our standard wheels have the spokes all the way to the outside. These wheels stick out about an inch past the fender lip (they are also slightly wider than standard wheels.)
