I have a set of polished SS/SC cobalt wheels for my white LT2 HHR, my question is does a 225/45 R18 look to "fluffy"? I would like to go wider than the stock 215 but I dont whant the tire to look like it is buldging off the wheel. Does anyone have any pic's of say the 225/45 or the 235/40?

Are you trying to keep the same diamter as the 17 you are running?

I would like to the stay as close to the same diameter as the 17's but maybe go a little wider as long as the sidewalls don't look like they are buldging.

Do you know the width of those rims? Are they 7.5 or 8?
If they are 7.5 I would run the 225/45/18 but if they are 8 you can run the 235/40/18 or even a 245/40/18.
You could get the 235 on the 7.5 depending on the type of tire. Do you have a preferance on what tire you want to go with?

They are 18x7, I just ordered a set of 225/45-18 Falken fk 452. Hope to have them mounted early next week. Then I will see if I need to lower it.
