View Full Version : MT, ID, and WY... Where are you? JonyyB 04-17-2006, 11:12 PM No one posted in this regional section yet. Where are you guys at? Make some noise  WA_HHR 06-24-2006, 01:16 AM maybe it "ford" country??? en0oNmAI 06-27-2006, 03:17 PM Actually I lived in MT for a year or so. Most people there drive big trucks like F250 and 350's and Dodge diesels. Weird place! fenris222 06-29-2006, 08:59 AM Where at in MT? I was born and raised in Big Sandy and there are plenty of Chevy owners and not everyone drives trucks. Wierd place? Won't argue with that! lol But I will NEVER be ashamed of my home state, it kicks a$$! courthousedeb 06-29-2006, 11:43 AM Maybe we could write to some of the Chevrolet dealers in these states and tell them about our forum and spark some interest. I don't live all that far from Wyoming and would be happy to get together with them folks up there. fenris222 06-30-2006, 08:34 AM On the "Board that will not be named" I know of a couple of people who have HHRs in Montana and one who is a teacher that has a black 2LT like mine, I'll give him a shout and see if he will join. GuitHHR 12-11-2006, 05:42 PM Where at in MT? I was born and raised in Big Sandy and there are plenty of Chevy owners and not everyone drives trucks. Wierd place? Won't argue with that! lol But I will NEVER be ashamed of my home state, it kicks a$$! I only live 35 miles from Big Sandy. My Wife used to drive there every day for work where she was a Teacher. I personaly don't find anything about MT any wierder than any other state I've been:smile: OK maybe some things. But seriously MT does kick a$$. HHR Forever 12-11-2006, 05:45 PM Back when I lived in Green Mountain Falls Wyoming both of my parents had Chevy Tahoes. The only reason I got a Caprice was because it was $200. Then we drove all 3 cars cross country to NJ where we reside now, me in Groveville, both of my parents live in Point Pleasent. Man I would love to go back to Wyoming. en0oNmAI 01-18-2007, 03:41 PM I was in Great Falls, MT. The thing I meant by weird were the 14 year old kids with driver's licenses, Hooterites (speeling), and just some of the people there. One lady I knew was from the Blackfoot tribe and her name was April Dawn Comes At Night. That to me is weird. Coming from AZ I'm used to Lopez, Guitierrez, Jaramillo and those that are harder to pronounce. But the indian names are deffinately unique! I miss being in Great Falls though. It was nice to have something other than SUN 24/7/360 (<-- it only rains here 5 days a year! LOL) Rrailwriter 04-28-2007, 08:57 PM Howdy JonyyB! We wish we could say we were lived in Montana, but we're out here in the cactus patch in Arizona. We do, however, go camping in Glacier NP every summer. So if you ever decide to wander over to Glacier, and you see our Silver Streak in Fish Creek or Sprague Creek campgrounds, stop by and say hi, and sit around the campfire awhile with us. We did stop in at the Chevy place last summer in Kalispell to get an oil change and we asked if we could test drive an HHR, they were all over their lot trying to find one, and the only one they finally did find was a cute little red one. Those Chevy dealers in Montana need to get more up there. By the way, do you ever get over to the Rod-e-o (spelling??) in West Yellowstone? We were lucky to go through a couple years ago just in time to see all the old hot rods. It was great! HillsdaleHHR 04-28-2007, 09:01 PM JonyyB is in Ohio and the site adminstrator. I think he was just trying to figure out why no one had posted in this regional section. Rrailwriter 04-28-2007, 09:52 PM Maybe they're all out hiking somewhere. What part of Ohio are you from? My husband Ken, is from Parma. mrjuma 06-22-2007, 04:43 PM i'm in vegas now, but thinking about moving to hamilton next year. any one from that part of mt? GuitHHR 06-22-2007, 05:27 PM i'm in vegas now, but thinking about moving to hamilton next year. any one from that part of mt? My wife has an Aunt and Uncle that live in Hamilton. We live in Havre its quite a drive from Hamilton though. We are going to Hamilton this summer for a wedding though. Its a beautiful place to live, one of the best parts of the state in my opinon. mrjuma 06-22-2007, 06:43 PM when in aug? i'm trying to plan a trip there around aug 23-26. i'm going to fly into missoula its only $118 round trip. alot cheaper than driving. GuitHHR 06-24-2007, 10:19 PM I think the wedding is at the end of July. So we won't be there in August. but have a safe trip. Thats a great deal on the tickets btw. Moth 04-08-2008, 06:11 PM Uhhhhhh hello....how's everyone doing? I must be the only MT HHR dude here so I'll shout-out for everyone in Big Sky Country:beer: Not everybody here drives a big ol truck. I for one am stoked about not havin' the "standard-issue" one ton diesel dually...specially with #2 over 4 bucks a gallon and regular headin' that way. Hey..it's beer-thirty somewhere and I know there's one with my name on it when I get off-duty. Keep it lowered my friends :yourock: inhogheaven 09-13-2008, 02:19 PM I will represent western Montana for you. I'm shopping for an HHR right now & that's how I found your website. There are few HHR's in the area but loads of PT Cruisers. I wanted one of those till I drove one. It's interior is so cheaply made it reminded me of a 1967 VW. When we rented an HHR I saw that it provided a quality interior along with that retro styling I like. So I'm all over the classifieds looking for exactly the options I know I want. I will use this website to research the options you recommend. Thanks, inhogheaven 04-27-2009, 11:50 PM I spent a lot of time hunting for my perfect used HHR and I finally found it. My first color choice would have been orange but I only found one with remote start but it had a new car price. Forget that! I found one in maroon with virtually every LT option except Sirius Sat Radio. They dropped the price $5K over asking. Things are really tight in car sales and my patience reaped the benefit. I've had the car for one week tomorrow and so far I love it. My husband owns an auto repair shop and likes the car but not the number of computers it has to run all the gizmos and gadgets. Hopefully it will be years before he has to work on it. They are completing a recall repair on it today...something about rack and pinion and steering.http://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_nuts.gif dkenthoward 07-18-2009, 02:46 AM Hello from Southern Idaho. I live near Burley, in the country. I purchased a new HHR 2LT 09 about a month ago, I already have 3500 miles on it, we are taking it everywhere. We have a love hate thing going, I love my HHR, my wife hates it, she thinks it is ugly, but she loves the gas mileage, our other car is a 3/4 ton Suburban that we get about 15 mpg running arround here, so far we are getting 27 mpg on the HHR and 34 freeway. I installed a seat belt in the very back and my girls fight over who gets to ride back there.....Iwould love to see my wife get another HHR....but our next car she get to pick out, needless to say I will keep my HHR when she gets it. It is a nice crossover, people ask to see it all the time, are impressed with the leather seats , it is also a automatic with the color of Aqua Blue in the Chrome trim, some people think it is a pt cruiser til I set them straight. I purchased it from Kim Hansen Chevrolet, and have been happy with their service. My first oil change is on them, I thought of going to Mobile 1 oil, but have been told by dealer to run a couple of oil changes with regular oil first, any suggestions from you guys? inhogheaven 10-10-2009, 06:59 PM I found my HHR and bought it. I love it! The fuel mileage is unbelievable! I get 30 mpg no matter if I run the air, have the sunroof open, highway or town driving (we don't have a city where I live). I'm happier now than when I first bought it. Go General Motors! Rrailwriter 10-12-2009, 12:41 AM Wow, good going on the mileage! We get 30 mpg on the highway, and have even gotten as good as 34 mpg on occassion, but in Phoenix we only get about 23 mpg. Still love our HHR! WYWendinger 02-24-2011, 10:32 PM I'm in Casper, Wyoming. I joined shortly after buying my orange HHR in July 08. I don't keep track of how many others (non orange ;) ) ones there are...3 orange ones here and an orange woody in Douglas. I know a few others and if we have business at the same building we park side by side. Once all 3 orange ones were parked side by sde and i had to laugh - none of us had a camera!
