not bad. is this on stock tires? i wonder if mickey thompson makes a drag radial to fit these things. what did it run bone stock before the tune?

This was a run on BFG drag radials 225/45/17...(didn't see that big of a difference) I have yet to run it stock so I couldnt tell ya.

what were your 60' times? i found that mickey t. does make a slightly wider drag radial than the stock tires. huge difference between bfg and mickey t's. were you bang'in the piss out of it through the gears  the tune you have puts the boost up around 23lbs or so?

Nice time....:D

I was hoping to see a little more mph. what was the DA and what pressure did you run in the drag radials?

i think the biggest problem with the hhr ss is the fact they are porky. when i had my srt back in 04,i was able to and everyone else i knew cut a 13.9-14.1 stock!!! now i know the srt-neon is about 400-500lbs lighter, but this motor have way more hp stock than the srt. i'm hoping to pull a 13.8 on drag radials stock. i'm not going with 17's. i need to check the bolt pattern, but if i can get my wifes old stock corolla rims on blackout with some 16 inch drag radials,i think it's possible. with tune i think 13.4-13.0 is doable. however it's all in the launch and the 60'ft. then again,i'm at sealevel,so maybe i will have better luck...

I dont think you will see a 13.8 stock unless you gut the car, the biggest problem that I am running into is that even when the TCS is off it still will cut power on launches but is does not do it all the time...explains my 2.17-2.60 60' times

The Neon SRT-4 was under rated for insurance purposes and the youth that was targeted. The claimed 230 hp was at the wheels and not the crank. True crank hp was around 260-265. I got 225-230 whp when I dynoed my bone stock SRT-4.

correct.....

My wifes 03 SRT made 225 whp stock. (I ran a 13.8@102 with exhaust only/2.0 60' on factory pilots)

My wife pulled a couple 1.9 60's but could only manage a 14.0 1/4

I love my HHR but I don't see it running in the 13's stock. Like mentioned it's just too heavy and un aerodynamic. Good news is the car is making about 25whp more stock and also seems to be underrated.

I wish there was a track by me that was worth trying the car at. I would just like to see someone pull a 2.2 or better 60' and run a 14.4 or better stock:)

has anyone with a ss ran a 1lt? i know the ss will own the 1lt but i was just wondering by how much. i have a 1lt i only been to the track goofing off once and ran a 18.00 which was my best time but i got 300 pounds of system in. im gonna leave my system in till mid november when my last car show is then im taking it out. i got a few performance mods in line and im hoping to cut my times down just wondering what could be expected?

Not to nit pick.
But you are correct about the hhr being a "larger" 10 times more useful car.

However you are incorrect about the aerodynamics.
Same Coefficient of Drag.

As the Neon SRT-4?

As the Neon SRT-4?

From what i can find ...yes??
Why, do i have the wrong car in mind??

The neon srt4 is the little, no so attractive, ahh whatever..... ugly as sin econobox.
The caliber srt4 is the bigger, but even uglier hhr-pt-esque thing ...correct?
So as far as i understand the neon and the hhr have the same drag coefficient.

Now, now, now let's don't start name calling. I like and respect the HHR SS, but if I went negative on it I could come up with some nice choices, but I'm a car enthusiasts and won't. My little Neon would show you it's tail lights real quick, but I'm not going to brag about it...........oops I just did. ;)

Anyways, the drag coefficient for the Neon is 0.37. What's the HHR SS?

I found it. You were right the SS is 0.35 so they're pretty close. Hard to believe with the different shapes.

LOL, I like the little neon, just joshin with ya. The hhr is pretty slippery, many people think that its a big-nosed air pusher, i picked on a dude that thought the scion x-box was a brick. The old true box version is about the same as the neon, and the newest version is better than the hhr . Hard to believe but true. :)

Tha neon was just stupid-light with a 2.4. Drop down 20% in displacement and pick up 50% more cargo room. That will slow ya down.
