Looks like Daytona Blue HHR's just went up in value!

So......still no word on an SS or Superchaged version?

That "Horsepower and torque changes" looks suspicious...

i wonder if running boards will become standard, and if they do, do those of us who dont have them and are very lucky not to have the chipped paint, yet, can get them for free.

I don't think Chevy will ever make the running boards standard. They make too much money off of them.

chevy is never going to belly up on free runing boards. they can't even sell them at a fair price. a compant that is loosing money does not have the ability to give crap away. don't hold you breath. chevy needs to start thinking style and power. thats what people want. turbos, superchargers, autostick and maybe even a SS model. nothing special is comming from chevy for 07 i'm sure. :thumbsdow :(

iThink that since they are adding Horsepower maybe in the 220 range and adding black leather seats with color inserts this could be the SS in Disquise.

I Talked to a GM Personal this eveing, she said tha tthe daytona Blue is not in production any more because it dident make sales. She also wanted to know if there were any improvements that i would like to see in the upcomming HHR Modles. I tould her that i woul like to see a SS Version with at least 210 Hp, Custimizible HHR like the Scions which offer a full line of factory proformace parts, for us tunner people. And differnt Rim choices pluse size rims, 18s possibly, She said that she would pass it on to the Enigniners and desingers. If you woul like to input on this give chevy a call at 1-800-222-1020. Dial and say 3 ( extension) She said that she dident know about the SS, and to call back in 4 week. I will keep you updated.

Apparently, they have not polled the So. Fl. market. The Daytona Blue is the most popular on the streets here in Miami. Have seen no less than a dozen driving around town. That's about half of all the ones I've seen in Miami.

Yeah, I'm sure she will! I bet she enjoyed blowing sunshine up your rear.:D

Not sure what that GM "Personal", uumm...think you mean Personnel, was smoking but not sure how she can say Daytona Blue is not making sales. Daytona Blue is one of the most popular colors of the HHR. I see more Daytona Blue, Black, and Silver more than any color out there.

TXsman is right. When I was searching for my HHR I pulled up window stickers from dealers all over SoCal. Daytona Blue, Daytona Blue, Daytona Blue, Daytona Blue, Daytona Blue, - everywhere!

The main reason I didn't buy Daytona Blue is because I didn't want to have the same color as everyone else!

But he did say that it looked really good in bright chrome yellow. He thought maybe it was Yoo-hoo or Nestle...

I smell BS.
Either the person you talked too didn't have a clue or they are trying to drive up the resale on a particular color. (Although I wouldn't know why??)

My dealer had to go out 300 miles to get my Daytona Blue HHR and the dealership my mom works for couldn't get one at all. I almost got a black one because our search was so fustrating.

When are the newer ones going to be shown on the internet (Chevrolet.com I mean) and at dealers? It seems like they come out with new models throughout the year, not a new year revision at once (Like I would have thought).

Is the Ebony interior option going to include a darker/blacker dash? I like this, especially if it's deep black, I think it would look good.

So even if one day an SS version does not come out, where would one go about getting new upholstery done? The only reason why I want an SS (And I don't even really want a supercharged one if I can't have one) is that it's my initials and I've always had a thing about what the SS does and how it looks. I would just love to have the badges on the car, as well as two-toned leather seats (black/red is so sexy). This is the only thing that separates my interest with a Cobalt as well (as I consider both on the top of my new-car list), for what makes the HHR better than it in my mind is the expanded storage room (I'm going to be traveling a lot, and need room for climate-controlled guitars/amps/gear that nothing other than a wagon-type design could take care of), and the 6-disc changer that the Cobalt does not have.

Sure I'd love to have the kind of power that I'm used to in my Intrigue (and looking at dynos on the internet for the Cobalt SS Supercharged - I could get it, even with 2 less cylinders) and the thought of a supercharged HHR makes me giddy, but I don't think the Chevy sees the HHR community wanting one (Except for the few - which might be all of us on here). However, I could use the better MPG, but even supercharged is better than what I get currently.

This link was very helpful. Apparently Ebony seats will be available but not the Ebony/Gray of the spring edition, which I liked. I'll have to see the Ebony seats before I decide whether I like them or not. Why the E/G combo is not available beats me. MOTORMIKE

I wanted to by an HHR this year, actually ever since I saw my first one last August, but my wife said we needed to wait until September.

Now that I have seen the Imperial Blue I am so happy I waited. I thought the Daytona Blue was nice but in certain lights it looks purple and that turned me off.

Hopefully the Imperial Blue looks as nice in person as it does in the small pic.

I'd LOVE to see the bright yellow in a factory HHR... :thumb:

I still cannot figure out why so many vehicle manufacturers think that the dull darker colors are what the public demands???

Why not bring back some of those cool Muscle car colors of the 60's like the Plum Crazy Purple, Dodge Challenger Bright Orange, Bright Lime Green?

And why not try some of those cool two-tone colors of the 1950's like the bright Teal and White or the famous Bright Red and White?

If they are trying to sell the HHR as a retro looking car, try some retro colors!!! I'm sure they'd sell a lot more to the younger crowd if they look at all the bright colors kids are painting their "Tuners"...

I personally think the Special Edition Red HHR and the Daytona Blue HHR are the sweetest looking ones available. And now they are no longer available? GM is going to ruin the HHR sales all together if they keep bringing out dull colors.

Very true, Deb...

The Orange Burst is another one of those cool bright colors that really stand out in a crowd. Luckily they are keeping the Orange Burst for 2007.

I did see the new 2007 Imerial Blue this last weekend and it was sitting next to a 2007 Black HHR and it was hard to tell the difference between the two colors on a cloudy day. I actually thought there were 2 Black HHRs next to each other until I took a really close look. I assume some may like the darker blue but it is not too far from the black in person.

They REALLY should have kept the Daytona Blue... :(

I really like the Dark Grey, as with the black interior, almost gives a grim appearance. The guys at work really like it.

As for the other colours, I don't like the Black or the White as those colours are way to plain. I must admit that the sunburst orange WAS starting to grow on me, even though at first I thought it was too loud.

Colour is always a very personal choice, but what I really hope for, is Chev does one or two more years for the HHR, and then stop production. That way, the car/truck/suv will retain its uniqueness, AND value.
