2nd Annual HHR
Cedar Point Meet
July 11-13th, 2008

Hard to believe after all this time planning we are finally upon the event. This thread is dedicated for your pics and stories from the meet.

Chris and I left Hillsdale yesterday morning and arrived in Sandusky. We scouted out all the event locations and got in contact with Bill and Linda from HHR Boutique. Took a few trips to the pool and had a nice steak for dinner.

Around 11 pm we were lucky to witness a funny display of human ignorance from our hotel room window. A family of four pulled up in their minivan that was apparently rented as they had no idea how to operate its features. Between the father and mother it took them over an hour to figure out how to shut off the dome light and lock the doors. In the process, they also managed to set off the car alarm. Chris and I were cracking up and I was glad for once that it was someone else and not me :D

Its awesome its finally here but now i don't have it to look forward too anymore.:(

We'll be on our way later this afternoon! We have other obligations for Sunday though, so we won't be able to make the RRHoF cruise as planned. :(

Drive over from Chicago wasn't bad... even the city was nice enough to let us through fairly unscathed. :)

Yes what a blast thanks to everyone that came, it was a blast hanging out with you all. Congrats to all the Trophey winners!! And once again Dayton and Chris thank you! I will post pics maybe tonight if not then Sunday night. Ok off to Olive Garden to meet up with some of you, then hopefully whip you guys in go kart racing.

We just got home! I had to say what a great time we had. It was fun to see everyone from the first Cedar Point G2G and we met a bunch of great people that came out for this gathering for the first time. (3 times the HHR's for this years event)
I also want to take some time to thank all the great sponsors for this event! Everyone went home with some great door prizes and a loaded goody bag. It was also nice to see a vendor show up in person, HHRBoutique.com was there with all kinds of goodies for the HHR for us to see and buy.
I also want to give a huge thank-you to Dayton and Chris(HillsdaleHHR and ChritonHHR) for all the hard work they did to put this all together. You guys did an awesome job!!! :thumb:

Same here... have been having a blast with you all. Been just as much fun in reality as it was shaping up to be in the weeks prior. Hate to have to go back to the Windy City tomorrow.

Just got home and wanted to say it was great seeing all of you. It was a great turn out and we had alot of fun. There were a few sidetracks in the event but over all it went well. We met a couple at dinner one night who had just bought 2 HHR's. Hopefully they join the site soon :thumb:
Who got lost?!? Pretty bad when OnStar gets you lost :D and don't forget the Tom Tom's direction to get us back on track :lol: Going to rest for awhile and will post more later. Let's start hearing ideas for C.P. III.

uuuggghhhhhhhh I'm so sick with it! I could of attended this year! Dang Black Betty is still getting the monitors worked and my wheel well kit is on back order! Even if it was done I still couldn't get off work to head up there. Didn't get my HHR till May and it wasn't enough time to schedule. Next year is a definite though. Too many things to comment on specifically but congrats :bow: to all who made this thing happen. I could only imagine how much fun it would of been, plus the rock history museum... Geez!:red:

One of the thorns in our side for this event was lunch at Damon's. I truely am sorry for any mix up that occured and wanted to let you know what response we received back from Damon's after speaking with him on Saturday:

"Hello Dayton,

I did not hear back from you Saturday about the MAJOR Mix up from my staff. Did you try to call me? Am I suppose to call you?
I know this is an annual event and I do not want this last visit to ruin the success of the first year.
If you re-schedule again with us let me know and I can look into a different and more incentive coupon for the group to make up for this last visit. This time I will be more clear in the reservation book about seperate checks, etc...

What a meet!! It' good to see everyone had fun and no causalities that have been mentioned besides Stubby getting a broken arm. I am sure he was feeling no pain, and glad you guys did not have to bail him out of the klink. Nice to see you kept him under control. This run might hit my schedule next year. Thanks for letting me be a part of it even if I could not make it .

Hi folks. Here it is Wednesday and I'm still in Ohio. WE always stay longer than I planned. LOL LOL. It was great meeting the folks I met on Friday... sure wish I had the courage to go on the roller coaster rides as I would have hung out more with you. What a great bunch of HHR owners. Hopefully I can make it again next year and spend a little more time with all of you.
