I think we should put MD, PA, DE, DC, VA and WV in its own section.
Call it something else. like Mid Atlantic Region or something....

View Full Version : Spliting up the NE Region CheckSando 04-24-2006, 01:05 PM I think we should put MD, PA, DE, DC, VA and WV in its own section. Call it something else. like Mid Atlantic Region or something.... captain howdy 04-24-2006, 01:07 PM But PA is part of the tri-state area. CheckSando 04-24-2006, 01:14 PM Thats fine....Im just referring to travel time/distance. Right now we have people in South VA wanting to meet with people in North MI....traveling like 1000 miles! :) I think we should break down the regions to make regional meets a little easier. JoeR 04-24-2006, 01:49 PM I've also wondered how these state groupings came about. VA, for instance is not well grouped. The ones around the Great Lakes are NOT "Mid East". Maybe split off New England states, NY, PA, NJ, for example, as Eastern, then MD, VA, WV and maybe NC as Mid Atlantic... etc. CheckSando 04-24-2006, 03:13 PM Yeah, thats also good. Even though they are smaller states...they should be divided a little different. MD, VA, DE, WV and maybe NC as Mid Atlantic is probably the best bet. captain howdy 04-24-2006, 03:20 PM I've also wondered how these state groupings came about. VA, for instance is not well grouped. Maybe split off New England states, NY, PA, NJ, for example, as Eastern, then MD, VA, WV and maybe NC as Mid Atlantic... etc. That makes sense. :thumb: How do I revote? Firewatcher 04-24-2006, 06:47 PM I agree with that. New England is Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island. Tri State is New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Atlantic is Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and so on. Actually, you may want to make New York a separate region on it's own so we can keep a better eye on Captain Howdy. ;) wheelsee 04-24-2006, 07:20 PM yeah I would put Mid-Atl as DE,MD,VA,DC,WV.... -wC SIHHR 04-24-2006, 07:45 PM Guy's let’s talk about economics. Currently we have fewer than 900 members. Majority of those members do not post in the northeast section. Less then 900 members is our supply. The Demand is only those who have posted in the northeast section. Which is a small demand. I know it's not easy for JonyyB to add sections. Until there are more of a demand and more members then the northeast will remain as is. We are still small (micro). Once more people sign up and more people are part of the Northeast section. Then there will be a need. wheelsee 04-24-2006, 07:50 PM Guy's let’s talk about economics. Currently we have fewer than 900 members. Majority of those members do not post in the northeast section. New york is eastern Great Lakes and Wisconsin is Western Great Lakes... Wisconsin could be the northern midwest.. Firewatcher 04-25-2006, 07:22 AM Let me see.........hmmmmm...........Staten Island will become part of........wait a minute, is there a Russian Regional Group? We certainly couldn't have SIHHR and the Captain in the same group! :p: Hitdog 04-25-2006, 07:51 AM I agree...but Mass should be it's own country... like the Peoples Republic of Cambridge!! They are like 2000 miles from each other, so you wouldnt have one region known as 'Canada', despite only having two people. We just have to wait for more to come! A bit extreme...I know. Just trying to make it easier for later. :thumb: I agree...but Mass should be it's own country... like the Peoples Republic of Cambridge!! Awesome! Its not to say that someone from NY couldnt come hang down here though! SIHHR 04-25-2006, 12:30 PM Well it seems that there are more people buying cars from maryland. I would not mind a trip down there. We can meet at Camden Yards and catch as baseball game JonyyB 04-25-2006, 01:47 PM Guy's let’s talk about economics. Currently we have fewer than 900 members. There is no need to add more sections and only have 2 or 3 threads in them. This will prove our point: http://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=33 CheckSando 04-25-2006, 02:20 PM I can’t agree more. Thanks for posing that. Im just reffering to the future, when our group is in the !Thousands ! As this section continues to grow, along with other sections... a seperate group could be needed. Or Philly captain howdy 04-25-2006, 08:59 PM Atlantic City would be a cool spot. Or Philly I agree those are both great spots. Atlantic City would be Awesome! :twothumbs CheckSando 04-25-2006, 09:21 PM We should do a Atlantic City trip in the next month or so....... any thoughts? cvrogershhr 04-25-2006, 09:49 PM Hi: West Virginia here. As long as I can get away from my job and gas isn't $5.00 a gallon I may be able to make it about anywhere in the region, but if I had my drathers, I'd go for the smaller region....... :D http://www.chevyhhr.net/images/sigs/silver.jpg (http://chevyhhr.net) |
