Ok with the constant cost of fuel going up none stop it becoming alot to fuel my hhr and with it's good mileage it still becoming a strain on my buget. Where i live i can not exatly take a bus to work plus my line of work i need my ride. Has anyone looked into tring some other kind of fuel can be used.

Not on a gasoline engine! :scared: Come on now, gas prices aren't that bad. No attempts at anything other than 93 octane premium gasoline for my baby! ;)

Illinois is slowly moving towards E85 (85% ethanol) I wished that I could have gotten my HHR E85 ready, would have meant cheaper fuel prices (40-50 cents a gallon), and a tax credit, but still has limited avaliablity. I have heard that the system requires stainless steel gas lines and fuel tank, but beyond that I don't know what else would be necessary.

I know Volkswagen has a kit for their diesel cars to allow to run on common cooking grease. You basically start your engine with gas and once you're off, there's a switch you flip and it the filtration system filters the grease to keep it running. It's been out for a few years. The only problem is that the tank takes up a lot of the trunk space, but at this moment save money on gas over trunk space seems mighty fine to me.
