I would check with hahn....

The dealer could have tried 80 different flash jobs on your cars computer trying to fix the issue. I don't know why it wouldn't work but if they put a new pcm in your car the vin might not match.

Get a hold of Aaron in the tech dept.!!Mine did the same thing ! I just had to sync a new program from BSR Be aware that the programs from BSR will not open on a Mac/Apple computer! You need Windows etc. on a PC. Aaron will explain it to you-He is a good guy!:one:

Normal for the first time you connect. Follow instructions precisely, then call Hahn. Like they said, Aaron will step you through it.

I don't understand you!!........The car just got fixed today........You are now going to void your warranty and haven't even driven the car for any amount of time???...........That is silly! How do you know you aren't going to have more problems........
You ought to drive it for 5 minutes before you mess with it........

thanks everyone will do.

tom...i apologize everyone can't be like everyone else. i'm not the guy that buys something and leave in the protective case. i have two of these cars. if i wanted to just drive and be content, i would have gotten an automatic and never bothered ordering the tune. also keep in mind i had ordered this tune the same time i got the car. the only problem was wrong with my car,so far, was a defected ic pipe that had a boost leak. thanks for your concern.

No, that tune is not for the Automatic Trans car!
He (Hahn) is supposedly working on the Automatic Model.

My first connect was flawless-- flash went smoothly and quickly. I haven't had the tuner in my hand since.

I'm sure some of us have already modded cars before and let me be the first to say. When you start to mod a car, the cork pops off and the fiz leaves the car. Just Saying.

I dont believe that one bit...I enjoy modding my vehicles....I believe it fizzes but the fizz is alot of fun of course until it does break...

Tranny's do suck in the LS1 catagories and your AZ Automasters Bullet proof may be bulletproof but it aint streetproof huh...I'm waiting for when mine goes pop as well in my 02 Silverado. Then I'll be buying a Performabuilt or FLT. sorry to hear it but I enjoy modding. G/L on getting it back up and running

ok, maybe this has been answered many times, but I must ask.

With the tuner for the SS, cant you set the car back to stock anytime you want? If so would a gm tech even know that a tune was installed and then removed? If so how would they know? If not why would installing the tune "void" your warranty since you could just remove it before taking the car in for service?

I believe they use something like an MD5 hash number to validate the factory programming, and non-GM flash changes the hash number, which then serves as a red flag they can check for when looking at the ECM programming. So you could flash the factory tune back into the ECM but they could still detect that a non-GM program had been flashed prior.

so many different twist to this. who knows. i heard if your car was flashed by the dealer more than once, they can't tell if it was flashed or not. the records will show it was flashed already by a dealer. i really don't know.

I have the BSR tune in my SS and I also have the tune in my 07 GXP for over a year with no problems at all. I don't understand why some people are so worried about GM finding out if there ECM has been reflashed or not. I bought the tune to make my cars perform better and I am not going to worry if GM finds out or not. It will only be a problem if I should blow up one of the motors and they can prove that the car had been reflashed and that was what caused the motor to blow If that happens and they won't fix the motor then I guess I would have to pay the bill and build a lot bigger one. I don't think if you have the tune and take your car in for an oil change that they are going to check to see if your ECM has been reflashed. What I am trying to say is if you want more power than tune your car and take it out and enjoy it. I don't know of anyone that has had one of these LNF motors blow up yet and the boys on the Solstice forums have been running them very hard for almost 2 years. I beleive there is a lot more power to be made with an LNF 2.0 and it will take it, so a proven tune isn't going to hurt it.

The Tech II scanner will pick up the last 10 reprogramming events. All GM programs have a part number. It is easy to see a non GM calibration. If a dealer finds a non-GM program was ever in the ECM we email a snap-shot to GM and they decide if they are going to void the powertrain warranty. ECM's will have 1 flash from the factory. Any flashes afterwards will have records stored on the GMVIS web site.

Also reflashing an ECM with the same program will never fix anything and is discouraged by GM Technical. So if a dealer attempted to reflash using the same program/part number he was spinning his wheels.
