Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect for this, I figured it would be like sandstone, but this is pretty cool! I love that GM isn't afraid to try some really unique colors on their new cars.

I just built an SS on cars.com site and it says you can't get the performance package, (which is the brembo brakes) with an automatic trans. That BLOWS!!

Why does GM think the automatic owners don't want that package? I do!

gold mist looks like it employs mucho-pearl.

Don't ya just love it. Wyndot gets a new HHR and some people have to express negative opinions, add this I don't like that. Chrome, no chrome Thats why they make so many colors and models.

He didn't get a new HHR, Bud--he was just posting the pix of the new color (including the Aqua blue metallic) and we were all commenting on them.

I personally love seeing what folks have done to theirs as it has given me ideas too for my Blackie.

No harm done here or anyone making negative comments about someone's car! :smile:

It sort of looks to me like it has the gold pearl like my Golden Teal Metallic. Maybe over a silver? Hard to say.

I'm gonna have to go look at this color. I bet it looks really good.

It does seem to have that pearl shine to it.

I think I've seen this on a Tahoe. I like the iridescent look.

while I like great paint jobs...I fear pearls...color matching is painfully obvious when it fails...nothing like seeing a car go down the road with two different color panels as it passes.

hopefully the tint-kits wont cause this when the new colors get re-painted after a boo-boo.

I dont think it would be as obvious with BFM as it might be with Gold Mist.

I saw this color on Monday when I took mine in for service... (They had 09's in every color but the new gold color) I really like it..:thumb:

No, this color replaces the Sandstone Metallic, not the SOM.

If it's the same Gold Mist that I saw earlier this year on a Tahoe that was sitting on a dealer's lot it's an interesting color.Think of a white Cadillac or Buick Lesabre with the gold mid coat but with a much more intense color change and you'll get the idea.

I almost thought this was white at first! I reminds me a lot of cappuccino frost in these pics.

Passed one of these going the other way yesterday afternoon. Not bad.

I saw this color on an '09 Impala last night and it looks good. It changes from gold to silver.

That was with the dealer lights on it, i'd like to see it in the sun.

I saw an HHR in this color and was a bit disappointed.I was expecting the Gold Mist color that I saw on a Tahoe last April.That color had much more of a color shift to it.The HHR Gold Mist just looks like another shade of GM rental car gold.I guess you can't expect too much from a company that at one time had a color called "medium neutral".

I know I bought my 08 HHR in Granite Black Metallic. not even my dealer had seen one , or that color before.
