Just a note to mention my first road hazard. I was hoping to not every have to use my spare but today I did.
The tire warning light came on and I was able to punch up the pressure on the digi.
It was 33 and dropping 1lb every minute. I got off the freeway in time before it was less than 15 pounds.
It was neat to be able to know I had a bit of time to get off the freeway in the rain.
Now, I recently had the tires rotated and the Firestone dealer in Renton, WA didn't reporgram the sensors (as they're supposed to I've found out since then).
Good Chevrolet (the dealer I purchased it from) quoted me $50 (!) to reset this. I think there is a way to do it ourselves to I'll be looking into that.
The HHR is horrible on the "suicide spare". I recommend trying to find a matching wheel instead of that thing in the right size so if you have to drive any distance on it you won't worry. It can't be good on the car's mechanicals to drive much distance with it. The traction control light kept flashing in turns and you could tell the ride height was off.
Just my two cents from the experience. :censored:
