I haven't experienced ANY of the problems with brakes that some owners are complaining about. I have about 23,000 on an 06'. But when the time comes, and I'm out of warranty, I might do SOME type of change.

A couple of questions for you though.....why the Corvette brakes? Will that installation essentially guarantee, no problem. Or is it just the potential stopping ability?

Wouldn't the Corvette parts cost more than comparable aftermarket parts?

Just wondering because a lot of the Corvette owners change out their rotors, pads and calipers for an aftermarket system. And many of these are not, typically "race" cars. They're used extensively on the street.

Reasone for Corvette parts... They are readily available. Just like you said, the Corvette guys pull perfectly good 13" brakes off just to have something sexier to install. NOT because they need more braking necessarily. Same thing goes for the Mustang crowd. Lots of sales have been made to put 13" COBRA brakes on early Mustangs because they have a cool look and wow factor.
