You can only put flamethrowers on cars without cats. The gas is absorbed into the cat otherwise.

I read the link. I would be reluctant of their clame that it works on cars with cats. I have seen alot of flamethrowers but never on a car with cats. Unless they are some how feading fuel directly into the tailpipe with a spark which would be very dangerous. Normaly if you have a fire box it retards you firing to put excess fuel in you exhaust fumes feeding out your tail pipe where it would meet a spark and combust. I remember when I was a little kid and learned through my step dad using the old low tech way on his El' Camino. He basicaly ran a spark plug to his tail pipe conected to a switch. It blew flames like 10 feet out the back! His exhaust never blew off like the link claims.
