View Full Version : Fastest HHR list and the most H/P?
gcsd3742 10-14-2008, 11:31 PM What if we started a fastest HHR vehicle list? Anyone game on this?
I'll start it off: this is straight from my gallery so I hope the pic size is correct.

Put up the proof video and or time slip to prove it? Tweaking it this weekend at the track with H/P Tuners. for better times and more Power...stay tuned
Can we get a list and make it a sticky? I started a list already in the racing discussions section maybe we can make that a sticky.
Eric
HillsdaleHHR 10-14-2008, 11:33 PM Good idea. I moved it to the Racing Discussion Forum for you. Yes the pic size is correct :thumb:
crazysteve 10-15-2008, 11:14 AM maybe I can be number 1 for a while......weeeeeeee
gcsd3742 10-15-2008, 11:17 AM so post it up Steve... I'm gunning for you....
AaronSS 10-15-2008, 11:32 AM I think we're all gunning for Steve.
gcsd3742 10-15-2008, 09:56 PM So am I the only one interested in this list?
camaro98z28 10-15-2008, 09:59 PM sure. it helps see where we are and will be. Most sites do it.
AaronSS 10-15-2008, 10:19 PM I wonder if I can do the 60-130 run in the 1320?
bodywerks 10-25-2008, 11:38 PM i don't have a scanner. but what's the point in lying.

08redhhrss 10-26-2008, 08:34 AM Full weight, 1/2 tank gas, stock tires, no launch control, and only used no lift shift 2nd grear through 4th. Stock other than Hahn tuned. If I could get those 60ft times down, with that mph i'd have some better times to post. Practice makes perfect.

exactly what i calculated for what this car should be running with a tune only(with a 2.0 or better) a 13.5 is very doable. dr's is the way to do this.
08redhhrss 10-26-2008, 01:06 PM Last resort for me are dr's or slicks. I'd love to get the good number, but i'd like to get into the 13's with stock tires. I like the challenge, and I think it's a nice accomplishment if I can do it. crazysteve has some awesome times which i'd live to get, but I doubt i'd go to dr's or slicks. UNLESS as a last resort I can't get into the 13's on stock tires. I have good mph, so I think I can get there. We'll see! I have a few other things i'd like to try i.e lower tire pressure, no lift shit all the way, and maybe even launch control even though I hear that hinders your times more than it helps.

For stock, that's a really good time! That's a better 60ft than i've ever had (traction issues). What was your mph at the 1/4, you put your time in there instead. Also can you post all the other time measurements 330ft and 1000ft if your slip has that. Just want to compare

I'm using luanch control and no lift shift. i drag the clutch a little because of wheel spin.
08redhhrss 10-26-2008, 09:47 PM nice stock times, too bad there isn't more interest in this. Probably the best stock times i've seen. Haven't seen a whole lot though. Hopefully others will chime in. Thanks for posting

Thanks, I'm going back to the track this weekend and try some different things. Like shifting into 4th gear and shifting at different rpm's.
08redhhrss 10-27-2008, 04:13 PM yeah with my tune, I just barely shift into fourth crossing the line, but I don't have enough rpm's to leave it in third. I can't remember what I was shifting at, seems like between 1-2 i'm concentrating on eliminating tire spin.

Which tune do you have?
bodywerks 10-30-2008, 06:22 AM Aaron SS what are your times?

bodywerks 11-02-2008, 01:45 AM Didn't get to run this weekend. Big race this weekend.
AaronSS 11-02-2008, 11:28 AM Aaron SS what are your times?
I'm not planning to go to the track until I get tires because I feel like it's a waste. Might go on the dyno after exhaust.
bodywerks 11-12-2008, 04:29 AM does anybody else have times?
camaro98z28 11-12-2008, 08:43 AM does anybody else have times?
Sunday morning I'm heading to the track with some friends. :thumb:
camaro98z28 11-16-2008, 04:14 PM Mine. Yes Im slow but it was fun
Well the track was a mess and I suck at stick. <--- Noob. I've never driven a stick at a track nor have I driven a 4 banger at the track. I do need Slicks to get traction. It was warm out as well.
1st Run: 2.46 60ft, 1/4 mile 15.04 @ 92.8 mph
2nd Run: 2.58 60 ft, 1/4 mile 15.2 @ 98.96 mph

gcsd3742 11-16-2008, 04:17 PM good runs...it will only get better with practice....I got my order in for some and looking at steelies as well..G/L
AaronSS 11-16-2008, 04:19 PM You getting slicks or DR's Eric?
bodywerks 11-17-2008, 02:17 AM Mine. Yes Im slow but it was fun
Like everybody else said practice makes perfect. For the first time that's good. I run a couple of 15's in mine at first and fun is the name of the game.
Dr_Jekyll 11-18-2008, 06:25 PM My best 1/4 time, so far. This is 100% stock.
60' - 2.355 1/8 - 9.584@77.24MPH 1/4 - 14.573@96.94MPH

Nice #'s! Close to my best 60ft and i'm tuned! Looks like we differ in the 1/8 with me at 9.3 and in the 1/4 mile speed I was at 14.16 @ 103. I need to take the tune off and run mine stock to see what I can get. Won't be for awhile seeing how there is snow on the ground and I have the winter tires on!
AaronSS 11-23-2008, 02:37 AM I went to the track tonight not planning to run, and ended up doing it anyway. I had EVERYTHING in the car down to the floor mats and the radar detector, and I haven't been down a track in a few years.
60' 2.494
1/8 ET 9.695
1/8 MPH 78.74
1/4ET 14.539
1/4MPH 102.44
My best trap was 104.4
My best 60' was 2.494
The main thing I need is practice. I think there are at least two tenths in there. I was not happy at all with the fact that My N/A Sentra was faster every time through the 1/8th, and I never even ran it at the track at it's top potential. Still, I wanted mid-low 14's on my first outing, and that's what I got. I need to shed some weight (Spare, jack, and such) and work on my driving skills and see if I can improve.
08redhhrss 11-23-2008, 09:27 AM Good job 1st time out! You definently have the mph for a better time if you can work on the 60ft. This question for everyone that posted times.....Do you guys stage deep or shallow? Just in case someone doesn't know what that is, if you stage deep you turn off the top green on the tree. This might give you a better time but slower mph. If you stage shallow you actually have a running start at the green b/c there is a small area from where you are staged until you cross the beams, and that will give you a higher mph. That's the best way to expalin it unless someone else has a better way. Not a lot of difference between all of us just curious. It's a nice combo of people with Hahn and ADM. It is nice to see the actual time slip to if it's available.

Mine won't scan because it's printed too light. I just tried to show it to my grandad, and I had to read it to him. It's that bad.
How bad were you guys spinning in second? Did you let off at all in the first part of second to try to get more traction? I spun ALOT.
08redhhrss 11-23-2008, 01:02 PM I did not use the nls between 1-2. Sometimes it's hard to get it to go into second b/c it revs so fast. Actually first gear spins a lot in the higher rpms, so I ended up short shifting it into 2nd, and the boost isn't up so it bogs until boost hits. I haven't had a lot of runs to practice b/c the snow came, but i'm looking forward to trying different things when the weather breaks.
bodywerks 01-10-2009, 07:16 AM Just put on ADM intercooler and piping. It made pretty good differance.

I have saved THOUSANDS of time slips from my race car and most have faded to where they cant be read. Some were difficult to read when I got them.
Yonash 01-10-2009, 11:08 AM off topic i know, but did anyone else notice the poll results in this thread equal over 100%? the first option is 50% (14 votes), 2nd is 3.57% (1 vote), and 3rd is 53.57% (15 votes)...
bodywerks 01-10-2009, 11:14 AM Yes, I would love to see everybody hp/tq and fastest 1/4 miles to referance off of.

Third option: "combine the fastest and the most power for the HHR list" -- I guess the poll took that literally. :)
