Hi, everyone!
Once I decided that my next car would be a HHR SS I joined this site and started the process of finding just the car I wanted at just the price I was willing to pay. It's been a few months but the search has ended and I am now finally one of you! I must say that the weather hasn't exactly been perfect in central Illinois and I've really only driven the car once in the two weeks it's been mine, but with a little luck the weather will turn and I can actually get to the business of seeing what this little thing can do. I was also wondering if any other HHR SS owners have purchased the Hahn BSR-PPC tuner for their manual transmission HHR SS's. If so I'd really like to know how well it works for them and how much time it shaved of their 0 -60 times. Anyway, I guess that's all I have got for now. I'll post some pictures of the car once it warms up a bit.

That was one of my choices. I ended up with my other choice, SOM.

Thanks again for all the great welcomes! ivtech, your car and mine could be twins except for the roof rails and the transmissions. Great to hear from you.

Hi, everyone!
I was also wondering if any other HHR SS owners have purchased the Hahn BSR-PPC tuner for their manual transmission HHR SS's. Welcome to the site. There are many threads about this topic.
Mightymouse has the PPC Tuner and is very happy with it.
As for my recommendation, see signature. ;)
Do your reasearch, and make the selection that is best for you.
PPC Pros:
*Ease of use for going between aftermarket and stock tunes.
*HRC is a great company and stands behind their product. A PPC tuned car with bolt-ons recently made something like 223whp on a FWD LNF.
PPC Cons:
*Price. The PPC is expensive. There are tunes of equal or better quality available for around 20% of the price if someone is local to you with HPT. If someone is not, you can buy HP Tuners and a quality tune and still be cheaper than the PPC. You then have the ability to tune your own vehicle and change from stock to aftermarket and back, provided you can use a computer.
*Flexibility. So far the PPC has been proven to play well with basic bolt-on modifications, but if you want to go farther than basics, you need to look at HPT. Also, HP Tuners can be used to modify the new stage kit tune for even more power.
Cliffs:
Get the PPC if:
*You're uncomfortable plugging a laptop into your PCM
*Care more about ease of use than absolute power
*Don't mind dropping alot of cash
Don't get the PPC if:
*You plan on heavy engine modifications
*You are concerned about eeking every possible horsepower out of every mod.
