Shoot, 220, mine were with 18s!! Rims are 18 x 8 w/ 40 offset. Tires are 235-40/18. With mine being an early model, I had to roll the upper lip on the rear. No problems in the front. I had posted a pic in the FS thread, too.
Don't get skeered, man, just DO IT!! :one:
Cool the ss rim look preaty wide cant whate i mite go with aftermaket rims

The HHR/SS rims are the same as ALL the others as to offset, which is 42 mm. I "think" the width is 7.5". They shoud be good to go for you!! :thumb:

Got any pics of your ride with the 18s and stock coil setup?
I definately liked the stance with GLs in your sig:thumb: But decided against GL's for mine for fear of bottoming out when it's fully loaded. Even w/leveling springs I'm hesitant until someone can prove it can handle 4 people + packed cargo area without bottoming out.
2008 Solstice OEM 18” Alloy Wheels what tires work best with my lowered springs
car_guy 03-27-2009, 04:19 PM I'm running stock 18" SS wheels and 225/45/18 on my 2006 2LT. I have Gold-Line leveling springs and no issues with four adults. Really, how much cargo can you get in the back with four passengers? We have terrible roads with lots of bumps and dips and I have never bottomed out. I can't tell any difference in ride quality and I love the look. Good luck.

not exactly sure what your askin? Mines second gen lowered with 18" CSS wheels and a SS kit and still haven'd had problems. Only thing i have to watch out for is scraping the front bumper cause it hangs out pretty far.

Are these the Gen 1's (click me) (http://hhrboutique.com/items/hhr-performance/hhr-suspension/gold-line-chevy-hhr-lowering-springs-gps-1262-detail.htm)
if so these are the ones I want. My Eibachs were only 1 inch front and 1.5 rear...an extra half inch would almost eliminate my wheel gap wich is what I want...and sorry for thread jacking

Guessing those are gen 2's only way to tell is by the part number.
Can look around at some pics of peeps with gen 2's(including mine) to see where will set you vs. the prokit.
i still have just a little fender gap even with gen 2's, meaning your wheels aren't going to be tuck'd.

member mine has the SS kit on it thats bout an inch lower from ground to the skirts and bumper than the nonSS. But the wheel gap should be equal to what you can achieve.
LTSport08 05-07-2009, 05:58 AM cool thanx alot Don Juan, you have been a big help
Saltine 06-15-2009, 05:01 AM What might be the best site to shop for lowering springs?

Saltine 09-07-2009, 05:13 AM Shoot yeah! All I did was the rear leveling springs. Would have had done front and rear package but the roads around here just suck to much.
wildman1122 11-20-2009, 10:48 PM I am doing my 1st mod on my 1LT putting 20 inch rims on then I will be lowering it . Does anybody have any knowledge about lowering with 20 on the car THX:confused:
permafaust 11-21-2009, 11:30 PM so, not to hijack the thread or anything. but i am wanting to lower my HHR and i am going to buy the goldlines. but i was just wondering if the springs are all i need?
do i need to get the sway bars and other stuff to make it work correctly or will just the springs be enough?
IgottaWoody 11-21-2009, 11:48 PM Springs work fine by themselves..they lower the CG thus eliminating alot of body roll...but definitly get the bar later, you'll feel the difference!

I can only say, your riding comfort will be quite different..
wildman1122 11-24-2009, 03:17 PM Well got the 20s and I do not feel much of a difference as far as riding comfort . I have not hit a big pothole yet but the normal conditions feels about the same no vibratios or loud road noise . Anyways I am thinking of lowering just the back so it sit level and leave the front alone is this a bad idea ? Thx :thumb:

What size 20's you running ?
Many others including me, here have only lowered/leveled the rear, I used 09 Cobalt SS/TC rear springs, drops the rear 1".... Leveled mine out just fine for my needs. Look for the thread "Lowering with GM Parts" ......NOT a bad idea at all.
Here's a link: http://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16170
Course many have lowered both ends. I'm trying to maintain my warranty. Local Chevy told me that if I just do the rear w/GM springs (leaving the tags on), I will still be covered. (sounds good anyhow.).
wildman1122 11-25-2009, 03:07 PM I am running 20x8.5 and the tire size is 225/35/20 brand tire is Nitto neo/gen after reading all those post on lowering I am totally confused not sure what to do now LOL
41pontiac 11-25-2009, 04:57 PM Gold Lines on mine :thumb: love em :one: rides good and with the Progressive it handles awesome
IgottaWoody 11-25-2009, 05:04 PM You can lower with 20's ... several have done so with no problems...when you lower yo are not changing much except for the clearance between the tire and fenderwell...you won't get any closer to the strut then what you already are................

Well, first I would suggest slowing down & think more about what YOU want..
Your ride will "should" still be there tomorrow..
(hey I outta follow that advice myself)..
