I installed a "Stiffy" Engine Torque Damper... http://www.ingallseng.com

They don't make one for the HHR, So the one I selected, I had to do some modifications to the mounting bracket... I'm enclosing some imagery... (this isn't my vehcile , but images for someone else's install...

300 ?? I didn't pay that..

I've seen them on e-bay for 69.00 from another vendor/ vehicle usage..

Yes. it helps capture the loss torque when the engine flexs....
Lots of vehicles use them..

If you search the internet.. I'm sure you'll fine them for less..

But, You'll need brackets to mount them...

Nice find Henry!... I've been looking at the HHR motormounts with the intent of "stiffining" them- but they're not hollowed out like I've seen on other motors. This find is the PERFECT alternative! Curious if you know of anyone that's going to make one specific to the HHR? ... or if we'll have to buy a universal fit model and modify for our application (as you've stated)?

Please post dyno charts to verify your claims or they will be considered propaganda and BS.

Thank you!

Like I said before, HVROD + SoCal + CH + the 2.2., and 2.4 threads provide better entertainment than reality T.V. :poke:

What model did you use and what modifications were needed?

While I don't think that it would cause any great performance numbers, I would say that limiting engine movement is a good idea. This could also be accomplished with a dogbone style brace off the topside of the engine to the firewall as well.

I do appreciate people throwing things out there for thought.

(Man there's alot of arguing around here. I thought the Fiero guys were crabby!) :2cents:
