do you think an air ride set up would be good for a daily driver i mean the air ride set up has come a long way from the first set up. and i know west coast customs put one on the rear of their HHR build up but i havent heard of an HHR with a full set F/R. i know i want one on mine

I like the factory raked look myself. With an air ride cant you adjust it? I thought that was one of the nice things about a air ride suspention. I have never put a air set up on one of my rides but I thought about it for my Mustang.

The stock susp is great for a daily driver. I've owned over 50 vehicles in my lifetime and the HHR is the smoothest ever. It actually rides smoother and quieter than the 2006 Accord I just bought my wife. I can't imagine how anyone would need it smoother. Now, I'm getting ready to lower it in a week or so -we'll see how the DarkSide springs affect the ride.

Definetely keep me updated socalhhr. I am thinking about doing the same thing, but I wasn't sure what it would do to the ride quality. :)

airbags, never done them myself, though a friend with an s10 has em' around town they seem fine, but then again an s10 has a full frame.

air bags a fun to play with and there a nice ride. but been on a car frame it will be easier to bag because no cutting or welding it's all bolt on stuff. i have a s-10 on bags and i have been bagged for 12 years and i love it hitting th switches and watching head turn and mouthes drop.

i had a 96 sonoma fully bagged, its not a good idea if the vehicle youre doing it to is a daily driver, constant leaks, valves stick (especially in cold weather) not to mention all the cutting that has to be done. but it does turn heads, do it if u have a back up ride to work ;)

Does the Air kit make the car touch the ground? I'm sure the wheel wells would have to be removed in order to preform that task.

my sonoma was about 3" from laying frame on 20" rims...... i ended up removing the fender wells, yanked out the abs, heater box and a/c and notched the lower control arms just to get three more inches. It was a madness, once i got started i wasnt satisfied until it touched the ground. i put all that back together (nothing was on the front of the truck except a engine) and was still a half inch too short from laying frame ( tie rods were hitting the frame, notching the frame was the only fix) after about 6 weeks of constant work i was fed up with the whole project and sold the truck as it sat on jack stands. the hhr might would lay out with 16" wheels but it definatly isnt worth cutting up a new ride..........

Its always fun when you can lay the frame.
