Has anyone installed the SS struts on a 2LT? For that matter, does anyone know for sure if the SS struts will fit? Does this retro fit require any modification or is it essentially a remove and repair operation?
I have the rear SS springs installed already. And thought about replacing the struts as long as they are out when installing the SS front springs. I'm "contracting" with a guy to make a larger front anti-sway bar...expensive (I understand the SS bar will not fit because of engine clearance differences?).
Not sure of the SS strut fitment, but they should be a direct and easy swap.
Front sway bar... The stock one is 25 mm. Why go larger? BTW, the front SS bar is actually smaller, 23 mm, if I recall correctly.

Are the sway bars sized differently than cobalts? I thought they got incrementally bigger from fe1.

It'll certainly ride harder with SS struts. If you add a fatter from anti-sway bar, you're going to increase relative understeer. I am not sure you are really after that. God Bless, Marc

yeah you're probably correct on both BUT.....
Harder ride is "in the seat" of the driver. Harder ride and to what degree, is subjective......my other car is a "harder rider".... I don't object and rather like it. I do not tolerate vehicles that 'tilt" into turns and corners and have poor to fair handling.
The understeer....maybe. Depends on what else I do to the rear suspension

..... and to think,it has nothing to do with being a race car! (like ive heard so many times). If I wanted tilt I'd by a full sized van!
