Here on Vancouver Island, it's time to switch to snow tires. All season radials don't cut it on 13% grades with greasy snow. So I stole the snow tires off the Cooper S before trading it on the HHR. They are a tad small but work very well:

At 215/45 17, this wheel/tire combo actually provides superior dry and wet performance to the stock Michelins. No surprise.

Generic Chinese alloys from Tire Rack. Best part is they are 17" and they clear the Brembos on the front.
