View Full Version : Top 3 favorite driving songs
captain howdy 11-09-2005, 09:13 PM I used to keep a CD in my Mustang of just driving music for when I would race. Disc 1 in the changer. What is your top 3 driving songs? For me its:
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart
Ministry - Jesus Built My Hot Rod
Pretty cheesy huh? For some reason those 3 songs make me drive faster than any other songs out there. Other than maybe the tripped out keyboard solo in Highway Star and the slow part in Kickstart My Heart. I never lost to Kickstart My Heart. There are several good candidates but I like those 3.
DJNateGnau 11-10-2005, 02:04 AM "Song 2" - Blur

Machinehead - Real Eyes
Dayglo Abortions - All of Feed us a Fetus

Machinehead has been through so many line up changes I don't even know. That would have been nice to see them on their 1st tour! Surfers live back in the day was just a censory overload....Hey, Black Flag made it on 2 lists! :p:
Overall, nice diversity of music from everyone!

Top 3 INSTRUMENTAL driving songs:
3: Superman theme (John Williams) -- especially going on an on-ramp.

Top 3 VOCAL driving songs:
3: Holding Out for a Hero (Bonnie Tyler)

1: Bat Out of Hell (Meat Loaf)
Of course there's so many more really good pieces of music ... just about all of "Bat Out of Hell 3" is good ... an oddball one that I found was pretty good that I've had as driving music was (don't laugh) "White and Nerdy" by Weird Al Yankovic.

3. Hot Rod Lincoln - Commander Cody (there's actually the original from the 50's by who-knows-who, but Commander Cody's is just as good, if not better....)
