Read that deer related accidents have gone up considerably in the last ten years. A special concern for those who ride motorcycles. Guessing it has to do with fewer hunters and drop in natural predators too. Normally nature deals with overpopulation by infectious disease, but that has not happened yet.

around here deers natural predator is us. we have coyotes but they dont really pack up to go after deer. deer seasons seem to be getting bigger and bigger. extra gun weekends you name it. kills are down and populations are up.

That sucks. We almost got a big buck the other day but he decided to turn around and run the other way :thumb:

I just about had one about 2 weeks ago when I was coming home just down the road about 1/2 mile from my house. It wasnt that big of a deer(just a lil doe) but im glad it decided that it was gonna stop and turn around before it was to late.

i wish i could have strapped the deer that hit me to the roof but it ran away.

Man, sorry to hear that... It does suck, I have hit a few myself including with a motorcycle. Fortunately for me that was just a glancing blow and I managed to keep it upright as I was doing over 80 mph! :eek:

Did you double check with your agent yet as it should be covered under your comprehensive which is usually a lower deductible, (sometimes even zero deductible like mine). Wouldn't hurt to ask just in case!
