View Full Version : White Christmas
ChevyMgr 12-24-2009, 03:20 PM I know the earth is in turmoil because of global warming, but in Dallas we are going to have our 1st white Christmas since 1929.
It's blowing snow so hard right now I can barely see the street 200 feet away.
ballplr 12-24-2009, 05:18 PM wow that is awesome :thumb: we are going to have a white christmas as well but our snow is what is leftover from last weeks storm, but none the less we will have snow on the ground. but it is suposed to rain here all day tomorrow, oh well congrats on your white christmas
HHRSSouth 12-24-2009, 06:21 PM Now if we could only get that in North Alabama. We get snow but nothing great, maybe 1/2 to 1 inch and it melts within a day. Enjoy it!!!
ChevyMgr 12-24-2009, 07:58 PM 4 hours later and still going strong.

HillsdaleHHR 12-24-2009, 11:22 PM Glad to share this Season's wish for a White Christmas with some of the southern States. Here in Michigan we will celebrate Christmas morning with snow from a couple of days ago. However, it's suppose to rain tomorrow so one can only hope that it will all disappear :thumb:
urbexHHR 12-24-2009, 11:56 PM Yep..we're supposed to get rain tomorrow. Hopefully wash some salt off the roads, before they put more down from the freezing rain!
GrotesqueFetus6 12-25-2009, 12:33 AM its pretty cold here in spring,tx wish it would snow a little here lol
Ponyman1 12-25-2009, 09:56 AM 6 inches of snow here in Southern Oklahoma. Definetly a white Christmas. Hey Chevy Manager, which dealership, or can you say?
urbexHHR 12-25-2009, 03:42 PM Yeah I was talking with Paul (halfpanel08) today, and was saying that no one can drive in it, even though it's a little bit, because no one there is used to it!
So good luck to anyone who still has the snow on the roads!
OKCPanel 12-25-2009, 04:05 PM Waist high drifts here in OKC, hwy's shut down. HHR safe in the garage, glad I kept my old 4x4 Tahoe to get around in, that is when someone else isn't borrowing it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
sleeper 12-26-2009, 01:51 AM Yeoww !!!! Been seeing the action on National Weather.....
Just imagine all the snow y'all would be getting if we didn't have "Global Warming"

Same up here in northern WI. I am so glad we have the ol '98 Tahoe for big winter trips like this. 235K mi. on the ticker but she plows through the snow like butter with a hot knife! There were lots of people in the ditch along the roads on our way up here on the 24th, including some people with 4WD that just don't know how to drive!
Heading out to the backwoods this afternoon. It is always fun off-roading out in the deep stuff. The in-laws have 80 acres with logging roads running though it. Had a blast last year about this time!:thumb:
CarlsSS 12-26-2009, 12:39 PM Just found a picture from last years adventure out there. I was out bow-hunting for deer and decided to venture deeper back in the sticks once I warmed up. it was like 10 degrees and the wind was really blowing that day. I love winter, I suppose it comes from living in the UP of MI all those years as a kid!

djr1973 12-26-2009, 01:17 PM We had nothing but rain pretty much all christmas day, lucky it was warm and stayed in the form of rain and not cold or we would have had a pretty big mess. Ive heard people say that an inch of rain equals out to about a foot of snow, so luckily it stayed in the mid 40's all day long.
ChevyMgr 12-29-2009, 06:13 PM It's baaaaaaaaaack. 3rd snow in 2 months for Dallas. Now this is definently different. Should we be concerned about global cooling? Naw. It's just the weather doing it's thing.
Another crappy phone pic, but it's all I have at work.
