O.k. I need some pics and opions on pinstriping on the ride. I have a chrome theme going on so I am leaning on non-flashey chrome stripes?

I'm kinda confused on what your asking....
"I have a chrome theme going on so I am leaning on non-flashey chrome stripes?"

Isen't chrome flashy to begin with?

I have a couple of images in the photos gallery that show chrome pinstripe and one on the windshield visor tint with chrome and shade-shifter.
I'll take a pic tomorrow for you of the full side view.

There are a few members on here that have pin-striping.

I also have pics in my gallery. My stripes are thin white, triple stripe, 5/32" wide.

I bought my striping at http://vinylgraphics4less.com/pigr.html I got the Slimline stripe. Went on fairly easy, not bad to work with my first time. I did get a few instructions before hand from a friend who does real striping and lettering.

I've got some chrome action going on my Sunburst Orange HHR...but this is what I did. It's very subtle...but breaks up all the orange but doesn't take away from the beauty of the car. It's 3M Light Gold Metallic and the picture doesn't really do it justice...ask CJ.

When I had it done, I went with the tape, so I could change it later if I decided I wanted something different. The guy who did it took me to his supplier and we selected several different colors and they let us bring the rolls out to the car and put small pieces on it until we decided on what I thought looked best.

Well since everyone is giving some ideas I will ask this... I am thinking of doing the same but not sure what color would look good on my Amethyst. Keep in mind I did not get the chrome package, so I do not think a chrome pinstripe would look as good. Any thoughts?

A Metallic Silver would look nice without being too flashy on Amethyest.

I think a nice white pearl 3/16" double would look nice. Best bet is to go by a paint shop that supplies pinstripe tape and get their color chart and take it out to the car and see what you think you might like. Like I said earlier, we were able to take tape rolls to the car and test small strips out to see how they actually looked. That's what I did...and I'm extremely pleased with my selection. Look forward to hearing what you end up doing and seeing pics.

I agree with Deb. Most autobody supply houses, and lots of body shops will have things for you to check out. If not, search online. I found mine under a "vinyl graphics" search. Here is another place for ideas...

Have fun and use your imagination! I did and look what happened to me

Anything you choose to do with striping is cool I love pinstripes, so many ways you can be you...Chrome would be cool and if there is an autobody supply house in your area you can find the top quality materials. You could also incorporate multiple colors if that suits your design and tastes...Have fun !!!
