I think everyone is familar with twisting off the oil filler extention after installing the CGS (or Airaid). CJ mentioned removing the factory air box bracket a few weeks ago and I got around to removing it today.

This is with the CGS and the factory bracket which sits just behind the valve cover.

It is held on with two 13MM bolts, lean over the motor and they are easy to spot.

After the bracket is removed.

And here's all the space left over behind the motor without the factory air box bracket. Looks like plenty of space for a turbo. ;)

I now have a spare bracket for sale....anyone...:roflol:

Great How-To on removing that bracket behind the motor. When CJ was here, he told me when he was done with all his traveling...that was next on his agenda. Nice work with pics and instructions. :thumb:

Ok

I have searched for it but I can not find where CJ described twisting off the oil filler extension. Do I just grab it and twist. Which direction? I got my new intake installed and the back bracket off but I can't find CJ's post. Thanks for any help.

You just grab it and turn it left, just like you would when taking off the oil cap. then you can put the oil cap in it's place.
