View Full Version : Georgia- EZ4U2CHere 07-04-2006, 05:46 PM How many Georgia HHR owners do we have here? Holmes Hot Ride 07-04-2006, 07:50 PM There is one other one besides us. There may be others, but have never seen them post. Where in Georgia do you live and what color is your HHR? EZ4U2CHere 07-04-2006, 08:53 PM I'm in Warner Robins. We just picked up our Spring Edition Victory Red on Saturday. BamaHHR 07-04-2006, 08:54 PM If I were 30 miles east, I'd be in Georgia :) Holmes Hot Ride 07-04-2006, 09:29 PM Anyone else going to the Biltmore bash on Labor day week end? trichevytony 07-04-2006, 11:25 PM I'm in Royston. Silver 2LT Gambler 07-04-2006, 11:40 PM We are going through Warner Robins next Friday on our way to a Braves game from florida. Songman 07-05-2006, 03:38 AM Looks like not as many HHRs in GA as there are in CA. I'm from Dalton originally and will be moving back there in a year or two. I've still got my old family place there. You guys keep the HHR events rolling so we can join in when we get there. Holmes Hot Ride 07-05-2006, 07:03 AM Looks like not as many HHRs in GA as there are in CA. I'm from Dalton originally and will be moving back there in a year or two. I've still got my old family place there. You guys keep the HHR events rolling so we can join in when we get there. Ah! Good old Dalton, Carpet capital of the world. One of my old and dearest friend lived in Dalton for years. He passed away about five years ago. His name was Mickey Cooper. By chance, did you know him? Markiemark 07-05-2006, 07:32 AM Atlanta area, Gwinnett!!!! EZ4U2CHere 07-05-2006, 07:38 AM So Royston, Dalton, and Gwinett. All pretty far from me. :( Holmes, where are you from? Holmes Hot Ride 07-05-2006, 07:54 AM So Royston, Dalton, and Gwinett. All pretty far from me. :( Holmes, where are you from? I am from Monroe. About 35 miles outside of Atlanta. EZ4U2CHere 07-05-2006, 08:26 AM I am from Monroe. About 35 miles outside of Atlanta. Oh, where they like to give tickets for tinted windows. Holmes Hot Ride 07-05-2006, 08:50 AM Oh, where they like to give tickets for tinted windows. That's true! Also in Conyers and other small town around here they do that just to make revenue. My son got a ticket for too dark a tent on a Hondah and it was factory tent. They use this measuring device to check it. Songman 07-05-2006, 12:28 PM Ah! Good old Dalton, Carpet capital of the world. One of my old and dearest friend lived in Dalton for years. He passed away about five years ago. His name was Mickey Cooper. By chance, did you know him? The name doesn't sound familiar but that don't mean anything. I am not all that great with names. I actually moved away from Dalton about 1992. I did advertising for Shaw Industries for 10 years before I ran away to join the country music circus. Like I said, I still have my place there and have always considered it home. When I was living in Nashville I made it home to Dalton a lot. Since I have been in CA I only get home 2-3 times a year. Holmes Hot Ride 07-05-2006, 02:27 PM I have Shaw in my living room. By the way I like the spun alluminum wheels on the HHR ride. Songman 07-05-2006, 02:48 PM Thanks. My wife insisted on them. Now I just gotta find them in a 16" that will fit a FWD. Obviously the sig is the 'after' shot of what we want. She really wants big white walls too but so far I have been able to talk her out of that. You gotta love Photoshop. I didn't think I would like the full discs until I mocked them up. Now I really like the look. Holmes Hot Ride 07-05-2006, 04:34 PM If you ever find any, let me know? I am old school all the way. EZ4U2CHere 07-05-2006, 05:54 PM I can't find a decent picture of it, but do you guys remember the 1950 Mercury that was in Cobra? It had wheels like that on it and they were sweet!!! That's what your photoshop reminds me of a little bit. Fat and squatty. I think you'd have to be close to tucking the tires to be able to pull that off on an HHR. Go for it!!! TNHHR1 07-05-2006, 07:29 PM If I were 30 miles east, I'd be in Georgia :) If I were 30 miles south, I'd be in Georgia (I was born in Augusta...does that count??):D Mr.Burns 07-13-2006, 11:01 AM How many Georgia HHR owners do we have here? Iam new here, but I live in the North Ga mountains. Around Cleveland and Helen...... Songman 07-13-2006, 11:32 AM Frank, I just talked to the guy from Killer Designs that built the black woody HHR with wide whites and discs. He said he got the discs from Moon Eyes (mooneyes.com) and the white walls from Lucas Tire (lucasclassictires.com). He is not a member of this forum but I invited him over here and told him that we had lots of pictures of his truck. I sure would like to see his ride. Songman 07-13-2006, 02:02 PM I'm sure you have seen the photos around the forum. He's up in KY and goes to a lot of car shows since he is a custom painter. You might run across him sometime. http://www.socalhhr.citymax.com/i/Lowering%20Pics%20W/Darin_s_Nomad_1sm.jpg Holmes Hot Ride 07-13-2006, 03:09 PM I have seen his car, but did not realize he was a member. Don't care for the woody look on the HHR but everyone has different taste and that is allright too. He still has a great looking ride. My son attends U of F. I may be there on Friday to pick him up for spring break. He's not sure if he has a ride yet or not. If not, I'm certain I'll be there May 5th because my niece graduates from their college of pharmacy. Maybe we can get a group together that weekend? I told my wife since we had always lived in Maryland where I was born and raised that to be fair to her I would try a move here. Sold our house in Maryland on Oct 7th and bought a house here. Our goal was to be a 30 second golf cart ride away from my wife's sister and we were successful in doing that. That's how we've ended up here. So far so good. Weather and people and both been great over the last 3 months but realize Jun, Jul and Aug will be brutal but Maryland can be brutal those months also. |
