Okay everyone, here is the latest update on the August 12th run for the mid-central region. Meguiar's came through today with their new Detailer product, probably enough for each of the goodie bags and door prizes!!! Everything else is going well, and we are still hoping for a great turn out, so if you are looking for a road trip in August, contact me here!!!

Over the top...naw, just right !!!:thumb: I did a carshow a couple of years ago and seemed to be stuck on 99 cars, so I got on the cell phone and started calling car guys to make sure that we broke the 100 mark...that might have been pushing it...:lol: I am depending on bribery at this point by updating how the sponsors are coming across with goodie bag stuff, but by the end of next week I will likely turn to begging and pleading...:eek: By the way Meguiar's sent a super goodie bag stuffer...100 packs of Tech Wax, 50 promotional catalogues and 50 full size bottles of Quick Detailer...:thumb: we are still waiting on the shipments from Mother's , Stoner's Mooneyes and others who were verbal committments...Oh and Deerman, pre-entered, so since Yogi's sent four can coolers along with their catalogues for the goodie bags the first four pre-entries are getting those...Yeshua, Black Beauty and Deerman ( I am not counting myself, that might not be fair ) so who is going to get the last cooler ???:one:

Hey, I just got an idea, I need a design for the dash plaque, so what about anybody who is interested, getting together and we take a group shot of our HHRs for the dash plaque??? We would have to do this quickly, like next weekend at the latest...Give me your opinions on this. I have also been working a few Ed Roth "Rat Fink" inspired HHR drawings that could be used...

Chi I told you to contact the Scaleguy for entry forms last month...You guys!!! Scaleguy, we may need a dunking contest or something for these late enterrrs... Hey is there gonna be somewhere we can rinse the dust off the rides after the road trip there?

There is a spray type power carwash close and remember that you get a free bottle of Meguiar's Quick Detailer in the goodie bag so you can be clean and shiny!!!
The pre-entry is just a way that we have a good count of people coming and you save $5.00 bucks off of the entry cost...Oh and everyone please understand that none of us working on this show plan to make a dime off of this, the entry fee will cover the cost of trophies and dash plaques and if there is any "profit" it will be donated to the church that is providing the space. If I could have had more time I would have gotten sponsors to cover the costs and it would have been free, this will be a goal for next years run...

Hey Iowa, the run will be in Washington, Illinois just outside of Peoria, we will have three trophy classes with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies in each, dash plaques, goodie bags door prizes, hot wheel races, a thirty mile cruise to two other events and a coloring book for the kids, provide me your e-mail address and I will e-mail you a copy of the flyer and entry form, I can also provide a site for lodging information and a list of other recreational opportunities in case you want to spend the weekend.

Another update on the Mid-central regional run, I just got an e-mail confirmation from Chico Kodama, representing Mooneyes, they will be sending their sponsorship goodies out soon ! Pretty cool to have one of my personal favorite companies involved in the run. I will have a list of sponsors already in by the weekend. All else is good, trying to get a few HHRs together for a group pic to put on the dash plaque, anybody bored and looking to waste some time this weekend, come on over, we'll grab some burgers and take pics of the HHRs for the dash plaques. Pre-entries save five bucks off of the extremely reseasonable entry fee...$10.00 pre entry...15.00 bucks the day of the event...per HHR, so fill it up, bring the family, friends, whatever and remember driving HHRs in a caravan to the run will be even more fun!!!

Black Beauty is single handedly making sure that we have people at the run, next he will have flyers in the toll booths !!! Hey that ain't a bad idea...and WLS giving traffic info all the way to the parking lot...Thanks Beauty I really do appreciate your support and the support and work that all of you have given...I am really looking forward to this !!!
