I'm sure you're getting tired of the Check Engine light coming on even more, what code/codes are showing up? Hillbilly Hot Rod 07-07-2006, 07:11 AM I've been back two time's now. The first time three plug's carbon on them they replaced. Second time raplaced the coil. Tommorow i'm going back again because the light back on again. There getting tired of me now. to make a long story short, mine was doing the same thing, the engine light coming on with the auto tranny shifting hard, and it came down to a loose wire on or by the tranny that was touching the tranny every now and then. SCOOT 07-07-2006, 08:08 AM If I recall correctly- NAVYFLYER also had a CEL issue. Turned out his was a bad (fouled) injector. Sorry I didn't get the thread first- but it's on the board... maybe he'll chime in!?!? It is a good idea for you to find out what codes it's throwing to avoid any potential relapse down the road. Good Luck! courthousedeb 07-07-2006, 11:40 AM HERE (http://chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2415) is the thread that Scoot was talking about...and it was indeed Navyflyer and an injector problem. Navyflyer11 07-07-2006, 12:04 PM When my CEL came on I called On-Star and had them do a diagonstic. They reported it as a "engine misfire". When I took it to the dealer the I told them what On-Star reported so they would have a place to start. It did take them a little while to find the code because the CEL light had gone off by the time I got to the dealer. I wish you luck in getting your HHR fixed.:thumb: kb hhr 07-09-2006, 01:24 PM The code is a misfire they are putting a new injector in it . Now they have the auto start not working. And the auto traction light on i'm driving it there calling me when the part come's in. mommyluvsjoseph 12-14-2006, 02:03 AM The code is a misfire they are putting a new injector in it . I am new to the sight and joined because I too have had an engine mis-fire. My check engine light came on, I drove it to the dealer, they reset it and said it was just a mis-fire. Then 30 minutes into my drive, the engine light came on again. This time they kept my car.(very sad). They called me about 20 minutes later and said it was an injector problem on the number 1 cylinder. Okay.... Fix it.. THey kept the car 2 days saying that the part had not arrived yet. Okay finally on the 3rd day and them giving me a tiny loaner car (nothing compairs to the room in my HHR). I got my car back.. However.. They drove my car over 90 miles. I talked to GM and other dealerships and they said they should not have drove it that far. I mean, my dealer (who I also purchased the HHR from) said, "if its the gas, I will fill you back up" okay no it is the miles.. Anyone know if this is okay??? GDZHHR 12-14-2006, 02:13 AM Okay.. I would be talking to the dealer management team, 1st service manager and then the general manager. Then I'd be on the phone with GM Customer service and file a complaint. There is no reason they should have to drive it that far that I can think of. GDZHHR 12-14-2006, 02:14 AM Okay.. I am new to the sight Also welcome to the forum!!:thumb: tomdent1 12-14-2006, 06:13 AM Probally drove it that far to make sure the problem didn't happen again. i know of no mechanic that would want to drive that far to test, they would rather be making money, so it probally was a service advisor checking it out. HHRANDY 12-14-2006, 07:03 PM Observation............ When the "Service Engine" diagnostic was being displayed on my DIC, the code indicated a misfire, which turned out to be a fuel injector issue as well. My remote starter would not function while the diagnostic message was active. Everything fine now for the last 10,000 miles. Best regards, HHRANDY mommyluvsjoseph 12-15-2006, 01:30 AM I have contacted all other chevrolet dealers in my area and they think that 100 miles is too far for a "test" drive. I have just under 10,000 miles on my HHR and would not trade it for the world, even with the injector problem I had. I love my car, it is finally paid for, and I have to say, it is everything I had always wanted. |
