dixiesHHR 10-31-2006, 01:15 PM Hi from Southern Utah. 06 Sandstone LS with copper flames and copper trim. If anyone knows of events in our state please post these. I have a brother in Orem and visit as often as possible. Attend the UVSC car show and next year plan to bring the HHR and park next to the PTs. We have a local open show June 8th and plan a HHR cruise or two to the near by National Parks. When we hear on the funding for the show I will post the information.
Carshowgirl 11-06-2006, 10:51 PM Hey- Keep me posted!! I will definately be at the UVSC show, especially since it is now being held at Thanksgiving Point. A great spot to check out cruises in the state and the local area is at www.jchackett.com He has alot of things scheduled for next year!! I can't wait!!! Please post a pic of your car!! I'd love to see the flames!!!
GDZHHR 11-06-2006, 11:03 PM so di you ever get an HHR?
Carshowgirl 11-14-2006, 04:36 PM so di you ever get an HHR?
If you are asking me...YES i did. I'm driving the same one that i've had all along. It was a flood vehicle, but we replaced the computer...made sure the connections were cleaned and secure. I feel really confindent in driving this car!! I LOVE it...and for the price, if if breaks down in a year or two...i'll get me the newest and latest model!!
Thanks!!!
dnewmanut 11-19-2006, 11:15 PM I live in Layton and have seen several HHR's in the area. Three managers from the local Chevy dealership also own HHR's. Last week I went to a department store and parked next to one just like mine.
Pacman121 11-20-2006, 10:39 AM Welcome Denewmanut. Glad to see others from UT on here. We need to try and be like some of the other regions and have a get together of the folks in UT. Carshowgirl are there any car shows coming up that we can try and make a showing at? If you here anything please let me know I would love to try and attend.
dnewmanut 11-21-2006, 09:32 PM I think it would be great to go to a car show. There are so many teriffic looking HHR's. I guess there are some in the spring. Does anyone know when the car shows will be?
Carshowgirl 11-27-2006, 09:15 PM I'll check when i get to work tomorrow. I know most of them won't start until March, but there may be some pop-ups here and there!! I'll definately keep this post, posted. I'm not aware of any thru the end of the year...but who knows.
I'd definately be interested in getting a club together if possible!! I know the PT club is quite strong in this area, so we need to out do them!! I'm noticing alot more HHR around lately. I'm not the only purple one anymore. I always try to wave or nod at other HHR owners. My girls play a game to see who can spot the most HHR's. I'm impressed by the numbers!!
If anyone has any ideas as to how we can get the HHR owners in this area together, please let me know!!! I work at a car dealership right now and we have pleanty of room if we want to all meet sometime!! Just let me know!!
Thanks,
Angi
SpringHHRowneR 11-28-2006, 01:28 PM I must share this in hopes that it will help with getting a strong HHR
club here in Utah...
Last wednesday i was headed home at about 9:30pm; home is 7900 S & west of Bangater; i was on Bangater heading south when i caught the red light on 9800 south, i was in the center lane waiting for the light when suddenly 2 PT Cruisers drive up on each side of me start honking and flipping me off! The light turns green and they both took off like mad men making sure to get in front of me and giving me a hard time till i finally turned west on 7800 south.
It was actually kind of amusing but i would love to show those PT's who they are messing with!!!! So i will be keeping a close eye on this thread for anything coming up or for any ideas anyone would like to share. I will also post any i think of or shows i hear about.
Utah Chevy HHR's ROCK!!!!!
domin8 12-01-2006, 06:17 PM I am the Utah rep for RockyMountainEcotec.net. We are a club that is primarily based on the Cobalt SS and Ion RL, but we welcome all Ecotec cars. We even have a few member that don't have Ecotecs. As far as we see it, they love cars as much as we do. Since you guys are Ecotec's also I want to invite you to join us for our first meet in Utah on 12/2. We will be meeting at 1pm next to Red Lobster on 1300 East at I-80 in Sugarhouse. There, we will do a quick meet and great and then move on to do something that everybody agrees on such as bowling, sledding, cruise, etc. This event may mostly be dominated by the Cobalt SS, but I would appreciate it if the Solstice guys in UT came along too. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.
Sincerely,
Connor,
Utah Rep,
RockyMountainEcotec.net
P.S, since one of you wanted some help showing up the PT guys I think we can help. The 2.2 and 2.4 in your cars are the same used in many members cars. Some of those members have made some upgrades for performance and can help you tune your cars as well. One of our memers are currently offering a car to be used so that a turbo can be made for the 2.2 right now. And if that still doesn't make you fast enough, just call on the supercharged guys to help you out. I would love to show a DCX guy what being owed is like.
SpringHHRowneR 12-06-2006, 12:36 PM Connor, Hi! Dang! sorry i missed you in Sugarhouse! I've been traveling from SLC to Vegas and are right now in Sedona AZ for the rest of the week, so keep me posted on any other functions!
I have seen so many HHR's through out my trip, but man those PT Cruicers are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! I mean EVERYWHERE!!!!!
Well.... Not much time to say all i have to say in regards to "showing up" the PT Cruicers, so i will get back to you on that one!!!!!!
cya!
domin8 12-07-2006, 04:27 AM What engine do you have, 2.2 or 2.4?
MickeysHHR 12-28-2006, 08:32 PM hello all I have not checked in for a bit it looks like we are starting to pick up some steam. I do see HHRs all over now a days. And Domin8 i am looking to improve my 2.2L performance i may need to ask you some questions and get some advice.:thumb:
domin8 01-04-2007, 01:25 AM I'm not completely sure if this would work on the hhr, but chevy has posted on one of its websites (i think it is the tuner website) how to build the 2.2 cobalt up to 1250bhp and 800+tq. I think this would be enough to show up a PT Cruiser. They did use a few aftermarket parts, but the first part of the build is amazingly quick and easy, and complete with part numbers for the GM parts. The first part of the build uses the supercharger from the Supercharged Cobalt SS and a CAI. I think they said it would get you up to ~250bhp. That's enough to get you into the 15's at this elevation. Even with the added weight of the HHR.
I'll find that website and post it up when I get a chance.
wyrms 01-06-2007, 02:42 PM Bought ours 12/23/06. Went to the dealership originally looking for a used truck and saw an HHR on the showroom floor. We had never seen one before or heard of the model.
It reminded me of the old pannel trucks from the late 40's whick I've always loved. Having a standard transmition was a big selling point, and I got in and sat down. I'm 6' tall and the one on the floor had a sunroof which gave me zero head room, which was a disapointment.
The salesman we went to see said the ones without the sunroof had more clearance and we test drove one and fell in love with it.
When the weather clears a bit and I can get the salt and muck off, I'll post a picture. Ours is silver and if any of you have seen Revenge of The Pink Panther, our car is named after Clouseau's souped-up crime buster, though in much better working condition.
domin8 01-16-2007, 12:10 AM Here is the GM website I mentioned on 1/3 about the supercharged build for the 2.2 ecotec. Hope you enjoy.

TomsHHR 02-17-2007, 09:31 AM I will be in Salt Lake City from Feb 25th, leaving Mar 3. Any one want to gather for fun and a soda or two?
I just won't be in the Deer Slayer, but hope to have a rental HHR.
Pacman121 02-26-2007, 06:31 PM Has any body here herd if there will be any custom HHR at the auto show this weekend at the South Town Expo Center?

Don't know about any HHRs, but Mater will be there!http://www.smileyvillage.com/smilies/banana050.gif (http://www.smileyvillage.com)
TomsHHR 02-26-2007, 10:37 PM Spotted a Orange HHR close to north temple and 68.. close to noon.. Anyone?
TomsHHR 03-02-2007, 05:47 PM Spotted a Black HHR with school bus on the license frame and a Imperial Blue Metallic, do any of these ring a bell? If so You were seen by The Deer Slayer incognito..
dixiesHHR 03-03-2007, 10:42 PM Hey Utah, We need to plan at get to gather now that winter "may" be on its way out. Would be nice to meet with other Utah HHRs. Any ideas?
SpringHHRowneR 03-09-2007, 05:10 PM Spotted a Black HHR with school bus on the license frame and a Imperial Blue Metallic, do any of these ring a bell? If so You were seen by The Deer Slayer incognito..
I'm neither of the 2 you have seen; have you been thru the Sandy, Draper, West Jordan areas?
TomsHHR 03-10-2007, 09:51 AM I went shopping in the west valley area and drove through the downtown area. stayed in a motel by the airport and was doing training south of the airport on 3500 w and Indiana ave.
dixiesHHR 03-13-2007, 02:01 PM Just received my entry form for UVSC show. May 19 at Thanksgiving Point's Electric Park. Try uvscautoexpo.com. Mailing my entry today hope to see all the Utah HHRs there.
dixiesHHR 03-16-2007, 04:50 PM Come on Utah HHRs .you don't need a show car to come out and have fun at UVSC.
dixiesHHR 03-19-2007, 09:27 PM We are about to trade the HHR for a PT not because we don't like the HHR better but because the PT folks seem more willing to go to events and have fun than the HHR folks. Whats with all the HHR folks on this site that don't want to drive their HHRs and have some fun. The PT people seem always ready to enjoy their cars and get together.
dixiesHHR 03-20-2007, 10:01 PM Is there still anyon from Utah on this site? Thought my last post might get some responce, but now wonder if all the Utah HHRs are gone.Would like to see some Utah HHRs and meet other folks.
Snoopy 03-20-2007, 10:07 PM Gee dixie.....
Really sorry nobody is responding. If it makes you feel any better, I'm still thinking about cruising to Kanab in June.:thumb:
Pacman121 03-21-2007, 09:38 AM Sorry for the lack of response. Been working a lot of late hours the past month or so, and haven't had time to keep up with the site. Depending on work load I will try and come to UVSC in may. And I don't know about anyone else but I really would like to get to meet some of the other local HHR owners before I have to leave UT. I have seen a few crusing around here in Layton and have even shared a wave back and forth with some of them. I really think that it would be fun to just get together and talk and check out each others mods if any. And really try to give the PT Loser crowd a run for there money.
SpringHHRowneR 03-21-2007, 11:17 AM Okay! I'm grabing the ball and running with it!!!!!
I am planning an HHR get together this coming weekend. So send some suggestions as to when and where and i'll take it from there.
Send your suggestions to adriana.bowthorpe@acs-inc.com

dixiesHHR 03-21-2007, 04:16 PM Glad to see some intrest but need a little more warning to come from Southern part of the state. With a little more warning we would plan the trip.
Pacman121 03-21-2007, 06:34 PM Yea a little more warning would work. I would lobe to get together this weekend but my youngest is haveing his birthday this weekend and we already have some plans both day. Sorry:( . I have only been in state for two years now, so not too sure of where all of the good places are to meet and hang out. Let me know and I will get direction and pack up the family and head out. But again sorry just can't this weekend:( .
