We lived in Ft. Worth for a few years... I can take the heat of the desert any day over heat with Humidity!

Humidity sucks but dry or wet it's still hot. I can't even imagine what I would do in 112 degees. I would definitely be a miserable bastard! :(

Well, in 95 it reached 123. As I was in the military then, and 16 inches off the flight line was 145!!!!!!!!!!!

What joy that was !

I would take that heat over this freaking humidity. Born and raised in Montana, then 20 yrs in Seattle, I can't take the humidity, and I have been in MI 5 years! Gur Blah!

I have a sister-in-law who lives in Phoenix. She came in to see us in June (in KY) and went on vacation with us to the beach. The combination of heat and humidity just about got her. She said it was far worse than just the heat alone in Phoenix. I'm going to Phoenix in November for the NASCAR race. Hope it is cooler then.

Lets see it is 6:42 am right now and about 90 outside already. So taking a guess we will hit 115 today.
Can not wait to make the trip to the cool Williams and the GC trip this weekend.

After spending most of my life in North GA and TN, and then coming out here to Central CA 4 years ago... My opinion is that HOT is HOT! They both feel like stepping into an oven! I think it is all in what you get used to. The 105+ temps out here with low to mid humidity still kills me worse than 90s and high humidity in GA and TN. To my CA-born wife, it is the opposite.

ng, I saw some auto parts store with a personal cooler (small swamp cooler) on sale for $99 last week. They say that it will reduce the temp of a small area like a garage by 20 degrees. It doesn't have to be plumbed in. You just fill a tray with cold water or ice and it will go all day on one tray. I can't remember the store but I am going to try to find out because I am redoing my garage and need to work out there too.

There is a big diff in heat with and heat without humidty. when we were in Ft. Worth... you got in the shower and you cant get dry when you got out! Here you take a shower, and you stay dry until you go outside! ;)

November here is great, you'll be able to enjoy being outside without being too cold!

Next to the largest Air conditioner in the states that with the wind from the north east will take the temps from 85 to 50 degrees in 20 minutes, it was :wtf: 104 degrees. 28 degrees above normal here.:thumbsdow This morning the temp is a wonderful 67 degrees. and Humid is not the word for it. Its like taking a shower 18 hours a day here.
But the cooler weather is why we live up nort here.:one:

ya you betcha!! ehh!!

But the Beer is real cold....

You should come try Ventura, CA. My father-in-law lives there. They consider it a heat wave if it reaches mid-70s in the summertime.. His $2 million house doesn't even have an A/C... Between GA, TN, TX, and CA, I have never even lived in a house that didn't have A/C! haha

Fast message....to Song

I bought one...save your money. Had to up grade to something that would cool.

It works...but only for about 100 square feet (10 x 10 x 8 ceiling)

The HHR dash said 117, but the thermometer on my Pecan tree only read 107. The "official" high at the airport was 103.

118 here in Phoenix yesterday! 120 at Litchfield Park, just West of Phoenix, (:eek:X2!!) But it was only 115 here in Chandler. I had to put on a sweater:nuts:
All kidding aside though, I sometimes wonder what I'm doing here. Anything over 80/85 is too hot for me. I hated the Winters back in NY, especially the ice and snow, but I hate the Summers here:barf: And they last so long !!!
It's "Hot" from April thru October, and "Really Hot" July, August, and most of Sept. I guess I should have just kept going, back in '66, over to the Carlsbad area in Cal. I might have actually been able to afford a home over there 40 Years ago! :bye:
