I want to go out and put them on right now but I'm still working on my garage. I would do it over the weekend but I'm kind of busy this weekend.
I guess I'll have to try to wait patiently untill next weekend. I also have a pinstripe for the hood and back gate but they wouldn't photograph well so I didn't even bother.

I know they look silver in the photo but it is ghost vinyl. It is translucent vinyl with a metal flake look so it lightens your paint giving you a ghost flames look. I kind of got the idea from my bosses bike. He bought a Honda over the summer with vinyl ghost flames and it doesn't look that bad so I figured why not try it on my HHR. I would love to do it in paint of course but I'm a little tight on cash right now between a new daughter, a new HHR, and a semi-new house (I just bought it a year ago). Like I offered before I'll do a vinyl how to if anyone is interested otherwise I wont waste my time.

I would like to see the "how to" pics. I've never put on anything larger than a bumper sticker. I've seen it done once on construction equipment, but I don't think that counts.

TIA,
Long One

Done. The constuction equipment was probably done the same, you'll have to wait and see.

I'm trying. It's killing me knowing I have them and don't have the time to put them on now. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas.

I dunno. I assume you wil actually clean the surface before applying them. And not 1 inch mud splatters under the vinyl... Like I said. It was just on construction equipment. Not the cleanest environment.

1) How much did that cost you
2) Where on the car are you going to put them?
3) I have a the Silver color HHR. What color of flames what you prefer for mine?

1) $67.45 shipped and no labor fees because I'll do it myself
2) Right behind the front wheels like a traditional flame job
3) Dark silver like mine or silverstone? Your avatar looks like you have dark silver so I would suggest the the same color of ghost vinyl. If its silverstone I would suggest the other color of ghost vinyl that darkens your paint. I'm personaly more of a fan of ghost flames than solid flames, unless they are painted like real flames. That is one of the most bad a** looks around, a black vehicle with real flames. My jaw drops when ever I see that combo unless it is on a import.

Captain I was thinking of something like this to do in the spring to my HHR. My Friend own's a body shop and would give me a deal.

NICE! You realy now how to get my attention! Bait me with a Mustang. The flames are a little too thin and tribal for my taste but they are very cool. If I didn't go with the ghost vinyl blue was my second choice. The only thing I would do different with that paint job is spray a little more blue in the front and thicken up the lines a little. I love the innercooler peeking out the front of that Mustang. Hopefully I'll be seeing one peeking through my HHR sometime soon.
