Z-Man, Will be there and I cant wait to meet some new friends, This is all new to me but I can't wait for the 12th. I purchased my HHR 2LT on Feb 18 2006 and I have 16.000 miles on it as of today, As you can tell I enjoy driving my HHR.

well I dont have the car yet but should have it in time for the run but here is a pic off what it should look like only mine has no roof rails dose have sunroof and mine has 17 polished fac. wheels and no chrome around wheel wells!!

What color is that Z :confused: :poke: So far we have:1 Purple,1 Red, 2 Black, 1 Blue, and 1 Orange coming on the 12th.(from post here). I think we have more, but I'm not sure on colors. I was hatched in Chicago..Evergreen Park :scared::lol: Moved here when I was 5 :roll: I hope everyone has a safe trip on the 12th :thumb:

Question; Has any of you done a cruise/car show before?

Hey everyone the pot just grew bigger, my wife was working the locals yesterday and picked up more goodie bag and door prize stuff...Yipppeeee! Oh and the house is ours so now it is readying to move and putting the final touches on the run and maybe a mod or two to my "baby" I am really looking forward to this!!! Hey deerman, I have done a few dozen shows with 1st gen camaros and novas and chevelles but never a new car show!! It will be cool to see all the different ideas we all have for mods etc!! anyone else done a car show?? well im sure you have scale!! LOL

About the run/show next month...I can't wait :breakdanc. I thought when scaleguy left a flyer on my car this was my lucky day :banana:. Everybody is so nice, and friendly :thumb:. I'm glad I bought my :hhr:

Hey Deerman, any chance you could lead me,black beauty,z-man and any other buds that tag along from henry to washington to the church?? i can get the chicago boys that far from peru near rt 80 and could probably find my way to wash. but thought it might be easier for someone more familiar with that end off the trip!!?? thanx either way I dont wanna bother Pat (scaleguy) with it as he will be busy enough with all the other things and has done so MUCH for all of us already!! one other thing deerman you into old cars as well as Pat??

LOL thats classic!! well we could meet at the gas station on th right of 29 when you first come into henry from the north on 29 and i dont think you would miss 4-5 hhr`s in a caravan pullin into henry!!LOL with my orange woody wagon in the lead!! I have a cell phone and can give you my number and get yours if you have one and can call you when we leave from rt 80 to head to henry should take us 45- an hour to get there from rt 80!! thanx and make sure you put a good wax job on the old lady for the show!!!LOLOLOL oldschool out!

Beauty, I saw the mini cruck and I am stealing the idea to remove the white letters on the tires...good idea! I think that it looks great. I posted about a smaller version of the HHR Road Ripper that I saw a couple of months ago, well I was in the same store and it was still there so I bought it. I didn't buy it initially because the doggoned thing is just so ugly!!! It is silver, much smaller scale and is set up like a 4x4 with a huge lift kit, but hey it's an HHR so I bought it (only $5.99) I have to prep and paint it and see if there is anything that I can do to make it look better, but I will post pics when I finish. I liked the pics with your 1:1 cruck in the background, pretty creative!, hey check out the sponsor update that I posted in the Mid-Central Regional forum area...in fact everybody should check it out (I know another shameless plug for the show...it's what I do !)

I just got an e-mail from Dennis at Ruckus Rods, agreeing to provide sponsorship to the run, he said that he would provide product and if you are not familiar with Ruckus they make really cool metal signs and such. I have seen their stuff and it is top draw quality and very cool...so there you go another reason to make the run to the Peoria area on August 12th...

It`s amazing that with 300+ views on this thread, that the Scaleguy ( who`s doing a FANTABULOUS job ) is`nt telling people to " stop coming, we`re out of space.".. I`m sure that since the first announcement of this RUN , that you could`ve juggled things around so you could attend. This is going to be a Premier Event to cap off the 1st year of The HHR, It will never be repeatable. The Scaleguy has put in a GREAT effort, and WE should be there enmass. :thumb:

This has been a blast and I have really enjoyed it, but the best part has been the response of the guys who are here all of the time, it is great to see people excited about the run. I also think it is so cool that so many people who have never done car shows before are stepping up for this we are going to have a blast !!! Again you guys out west, come on jump in the HHRs and drive 'em over, you will not go home disappointed...Hey is anybody staying overnight, maybe we hook up for breakfast or a lunch time cookout Sunday...let me know if anyone is interested...Does anyone need any more information right now, directions etc. I will be providing a cell phone number for emergency contact, directions etc, as the run date gets closer. I have printed about thirty small coloring books for the kids, the games are being planned and I even have my son's girlfriend and her friends helping so the kids will be entertained, oh and I will be finishing the hot wheel track soon. Thank you all for the kind words, but I have some self-serving motives...I need a new group of friends, great people who love their vehicles and are willing to have fun with them...I think that I have found them!!!

Oldschool this should help, and might be good for anyone else looking to stay overnight in the area...www.roadsideamerica.com, go to the right hand side of the site, select hotel motel finder, select Illinois then select Peoria, East Peoria and Washington, that will give you a fairly good idea of what is avaliable. If you find a couple that interest you, let me know and I will get any specific info and let you know...Also the Par-a-dice casino has a hotel, if you need me to check that let me know.:thumb:
