Sounds like another great idea

I'm game depending on how far away I would have to drive. I'll keep my eye on the thread. :thumb:

Mt. B did no such thing as 'unlicked' anyones anything. He may have helped UNLOCK, but never unlicked!
Would you like to buy another vowel? An "O" perhaps?
At this rate, we may be sent to the Dungeon!

How about if we figure out where the central point is for all the South Mountain states is and work from there? :thumb: Maybe somewhere in the 4 corners area? The we could park a few HHR's in each state and take a group photo.

I'll see what I can figure out and report back.

Thanks! I knew it was one of them.

Four corners sound neat.

According to Mapquest, the closest town to the four-corners area is Teec Nos Pos, about eight miles away in Arizona So, from the major cities to Teec Nos Pos:
Denver: 424 miles
Phoenix: 364 miles
Flagstaff: 220 miles
Albuquerque: 255 miles
Salt Lake City: 392 miles

Ouray is about 80 miles to the northwest. Wouldn't be bad camping at all. Hear they have great scenery. I've seen the San Juans from 120 miles north of there and they look awesome even at that distance. http://www.gorzow.mm.pl/~bebelebe/Yankee%20Boy%20Basin,%20Ouray,%20Colorado.jpg

Sounds good to me for a SoStHHR meet. Just depends on the Cali folks! Woopie!

I can not speak for any of the Socal folks but I did a fast search and Sindy would be looking at a 611 mile trip one way 9 hours drive time.
Not sure they would be up to a drive that far IMO. I could be wrong :red:
Were we looking at doing just a 2 day weekend run or what? Kids will be back in school at that time so it could make things a little tougher for some of us.

Anyone have other ideas? Not that this is bad, maybe just get some other ideas going also

I know I am about 45-50 miles south of Sindy. That is way too far to drive for a weekend G2G for me. It was hard enough to get up at 4:30 am for work after the weekend in Williams, but it WAS well worth it :thumb: I would definitely drive that far again

with it being as hot as it is I don't see why the 'zonies and anyone else interested wouldn't be able to do a water park day or something in the Phx area. that way kids can go too! after we could cruise around and hit up a park for a bar-b-que or something simple for local az people. Just thought I would throw something out. Or even a 2 day g2g in Sedona, or a SoStHHR meet in LV. lots of possibilities here!

I am for planing 2 runs. I like the idea of a g2g for the day with the Az group. Do a faimly type thing, and also plan for a bigger run sometime in Oct like this started out. Maybe we should start a new thread for the Az 1 day g2g

After reading through the posts since my last one, it appears to me that I misunderstood this thread. I was under the impression that this was a get together in a central location for the 4 states in this region, thus my suggestion of the 4 corners. Since this does not appear to be the case, I will politely bow out of making further suggestions at this time. If at some time in the future, a run is planned in a more central location for this region, I will be happy to participate and help make plans. :thumb:

Not a bad idea, maybe even Oakcreek canyon, just north of Sedona, great areas to picnic and play in the creeks.
