:( Hello, a friend of mine has a 06 LT2 and when the recirculating system button is on the fan motor is very loud. When the switch is turned to the vent the fan motor gets very quite, Shouldnt this be quite in both vent a recirculate? I know that the AC compressor is on when the recirculate switch is activated but DAMN this fan is loud. Is this common on the HHR's? Thank you

I found a thread that deals with this issue HERE (http://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2171). Several pages of responses and they might be what you are looking for. :thumb:

The fan velocity increases on recirc, so usually you can turn it down a notch. Today it was only 100 here (I drove 186-miles this morning), and I started out with the fan on "3" and came home (at 1:30), with it on "1."
Hope it helps,

I've always found with any car I've had with A/C that it's noisier in "recirculate" mode than in "vent". I usually just turn the fan speed down a notch to compensate since the air is colder anyway when it's recirculating.
