I've noticed that the vanity mirror on visor has 2 slots on the side to me seems could be used to add lights to the mirror.
Is their a way to add them?

Has anyone attempted this yet?

I haven't attempted it, but it probably wouldn't be too difficult. Based on the fact that there is a blank panel on either side of the mirror, GM probably has a version of the mirror with vanity lights built in. Looking at other vehicles at the dealer might provide an answer. If there is one, then it probably would be a direct replacement for the one in the HHR. Best place to get the power from would be the wiring for the map lights at the rear view mirror. Just one warning- it's not easy to run a wire to the visor that would hold up to the constant flexing and rotating of the visor in its normal use. Probably best to use an extra flexible wire with more strand and protect it with a thin jacket.
